Strong Cypher Plays That Ignore the Patch 1.11 Nerf - Valorant

The changes in patch 1.11 made it so that when Cypher dies, his trapwires and camera will be revealed and disabled. It doesn't change much for how you play as Cypher because most spots are known at high mmr (which you'll get if you keep winning) and dying on Cypher now is like dying on any other agent -- there's no utility post-death. I actually thought this was such a harsh nerf since q lot of the times my team's cypher traps prove to be very useful to us even after his death, making him not useful anymore after his death forces cypher mains to fall back and play passive all the time. I'm not a fan of this patch at all

In defense of riot. I'm a cypher main that can wreck people in low elo and for nubs that are starting on valorant, countering a cypher is much harder, but now it's more easier to do for cypher which is ok and this means you need to focus more in economy, agent pick, and prediction (don't forget about aiming too) (I have a twitch clip from peak that perfectly explains all of this but Im currently on phone)

Nothing changes really. Now if you die on Cypher it's like dying on any other agent. Your setups will still be just as strong and enemies finding out where you placed a cam isn't bad because most spots are figured out at higher mmr anyways.

im now seeing why cypher players like me and many others got mad about the nerf. its because the way we play is we set up a site and leave it there. with how you are playing, you constantly change the battlefield. so its harder to predict wires and cams unless you are seen placing them. i really need to start playing like this if i don't want to be a coward that has a 50/50 chance of being helpful (unless its haven in which case its a 33.3% chance)

You just do the same thing as before. If you die, your team has to pay more attention now. It's like playing any other agent and dying, they have 1 agent less in the team alive and flanks will be more open 😄
