This was a heartwarming tribute and extremely comprehensive capture of events at the nest today. Thank-you LadyHawk. The additional information you provided on the 'feathers & oils' was another teachable moment to those who watch your channel. I am not given to emotion easily in a public setting. I keep it private. I look for the silver lining in every storm. But, tonight I was deeply moved. Tonight I broke. In a good way though. I was moved to tears watching this couple working in unison, caring and giving with all they had in them to one another (as when Maybelline covered M, as M was covering and protecting at all costs, the lives of their unborn children) All of their natural God-given instincts and desires were beautifully and miraculously on full display tonight. This cold world would do well to take this lesson to heart. A loving lesson straight from God through two of his most glorious creations...magnificent eagles.❤‍🔥🙏🦅🦅

The birds all over the state of Florida and the eastern seaboard KNEW that there was a lot of strong winds and much rain coming this weekend. All week long they have been bringing in sticks and fluff to strengthen the nests. We should all trust the eagles. ❤❤❤

I find F23's strong desire to protect the eggs quite amazing, as we this isn't always the case with a first-time eagle parent. I was holding onto hope when eggs were laid but all my worries have been put to rest so far. Her coming to the nest to add additional protection from the rain is something I've seen the males do, so this is a first I've witnessed with the female. M15 wasn't going to give up that spot, but F23 is showing a strong instinct with the egg incubation period. Yay!

Happy tears! She's got great judgement, I think going to be a great mom. I've seen some 1st time raptor parents and noooooo, but she's going to be fine, esp as she takes in everything M knows, getting Harriet's wisdom. So special to see M get the mombrella! He had to enjoy that, echoes of his chickhood. He's still with her, on the rails, braving the storm, at 1:30am Sun. Oh my gosh... Too sweet, what a pair! What a bond! It's just amazing every day. I think Super Dad got some well-needed slumber on the nest early in the evening. He lost a lot of sleep many nights fighting the owl wars. I'm glad that F23 so lovingly supported him in doing so.

Of course, it goes without saying how always I am extremely impressed with M in all things he does, but I have to say I am also EXTREMELY impressed with F with her devotion and determination to keeping their eggs safe, as well. You can actually tell that it REALLY bothered her not incubating throughout the entire storm, while M wasn't going to budge himself at times, whether it's because he finally has authority over incubation times without Harriet here, or also just making sure with his new girl that "this is how it's always been done here", so F needs to learn "the rules/schedules", lol, 😉 These 2 are absolutely adorable together, DO work well as a team together as they grow as a couple, and all things considered, M and F couldn't have been blessed more finding each other. F23 is showing already how amazing and awesome she is, as well!! SO TRULY HEARTWARMING, ❤ Thank you, Lady Hawk, as always, 😘💕

Wow I even mentioned this awhile back that I wish they could sleep in the same nest I have never experienced eagles that do that It was so adorable they truly have love for each other watching this. was so sweet they are two special eagles how protective they are with eggs and the teamwork they show they are one power eagle couple that’s for sure! F23 even tried to clean M15 mud spot on his head and he nipped at her that was so cute! I love watching them. This is one of my favorite videos just the love and the protection. Very Sweet! Thank your, Ms. Hawk. But I think I just learned something; that whenever the parents are doing what I've called a little "nest fluffing" where the parents dig straight down as deep as they can with their beaks and then rake it around like a ripper behind a D11 Caterpillar bulldozer. All I've ever heard about it was that it was done to "fluff up the nest with air to improve the insulating properties, i.e. air gap, to keep the eggs warm underneath. After watching this video it is seems pretty clear to me now that the nest fluffing around the nest bowl area is for keeping up ample storm drainage, not for insulation purposes. Or not? Maybe both?😁🙄😂😇

Good morning LadyHawk❤️🙏. WOW! If I may say, all day and even into the night, I was so worried about M15 and LF23 with their eggs too.🙏❤️🦅🦅🥚🥚. I just kept praying for them and then the storm hit them and of course it would have to be very strong at night which when I went to check on them, it was both in the nest and I wasn’t sure who it was protecting the other with their unborn Eaglets too but it was the most awesome experience that I could have witnessed. I’m definitely an emotional person and I sure did cry seeing (which I really couldn’t tell who did it) but, I thought it was M15 doing the protecting but I didn’t know they both took turns until the storm got worse. Im in awww of what I saw and that right there made me realize that they are going to be just fine together and LF23 is one heck of a wonderful Lady. I love then too always!
