When this season ends, you should read the match in the manga. I hate to admit it, but it's much better than the anime. The animation is very poor, it's a shame for those who read the manga and it doesn't do justice to The work that is BLUE LOCK.

There's a lot you can actually analyze from Lax reactions and it is very fun. What you said is true + I noticed something else, the thing that triggers Lax's feelings is always when it's related to family or friendship (and also in sports anime when people put you down and the character surpasses himself). Some other people get really excited when it's fight time but for Lax if you touch the family or friends this is what will make him go further in the reaction especially with sad moments (Isha's death for example or when the friend of Kuroko cheered him up when they were down bad against Akashi's team).
