i love the wreckfest videos. never played it but it looks like it it's been well engineered to actually give an advantage to those who can set the car up for the corner, getting the braking done and angling the car etc, to then power through the corner smoothly. and yet also it can allow plenty of rubbing without sending you off into oblivion. oh, and it has buses

It is a fantastic racer, highly recommend it, still highly active on both console and PC as well for online!

Firefly is generally considered to be not a great car (8th worst of the non-special vehicles), it has an awful 4th economy gear, and it's already down on power even without that. But if you break early, you can throttle through the entire corner and you basically FWD-pull through the entire time. It's probably the best example of the David-and-Goliath effect, since both other FWD cars, the Speedie and Nexus, are more power-focused (the Speedie also having low power, but even lower weight). Plus, the fact I've been driving the Firefly for over 500 hours of in-game time, sure helps. It does make for interesting switcheroos with similarly-talented players. I snag in the corners, they snag on the straights.

Very cool to see some more wreckfest content. Just watched the old one yesterday, think i left a comment saying its a shame we don't see more of it. Next day there 's a vid up. I should whine more often ;) Great stuff and good to see you using the manual shift. If i may, little tip: It can be handy to leave it a gear higher to avoid shifting all to often and when the engine feels a bit slugish just keep it full trottle and give the clutch a tap. You'll lose drive during that tap but your RPM will be high up in a split second. Anyway, good stuff, keep em coming!

Well this is a first. I like wreck fest but lately I've just been on a creative grind. Don't really have many friends to race with. I wanna play GT7 on steering wheel hoping to get one soon. I do enjoy watching your driving.

Seems that a few GTA creators have built replicas of Wreckfest circuits. Probably wouldn't work for serious racing, but it could be good fun for some casual carnage

I am slower with the wheel but its so much more fun. That game is the reason I got an H-patern shifter. Slamming through the gears and trying to heel and toe is wicked fun in this lovely mess of a game.

@@JL-cn1qi well you don't have to be slower. Practice wins the race. I'm actually quicker with it as I have way more control and feel over what the car is doing. I even turned the force feedback up to simulate a lack of power steering. Good workout I gotta say!

I think you are cutting out way too much in your Wreckfest videos. I would rather prefer to see the whole thing or only minor cuts instead of cutting out multiple laps.

@@DiNmiTe How foolish of me to think that Broughy would react to or acknowledge my feedback. Instead his bouncer Dinmite dismisses all criticism. Broughy even lost a big chunk of life during one cut, I would call that significant.
