it is good to not enclose your castle. keep open a small way on your top and you can concentrate on that line where enemy keep going there.

Stronghold has the best ambiance in my opinion but in terms of gameplay Crusader is better with skirmish mode and everything. Both are great and can be played alternatively.

The thing I hope they'll fix in Stronghold next is those dumb and unrealistic ways to lead wars. The campaigns are impossible to achieve without exploiting glitches. We want to see thousands of spearmans dying and climbbing the walls well in game peoples uses thousands of ballistas like in this example and its not realistic. More realism with this same formulas should be enormous! Cheers to all stronghold fans

I always make a one layer thick wall,and build some basic stuff,then i train 100s of arabian knight with curve knife,and attack straight off,with some arabian archer.It is cheaper than producing tons of stuff to train knights and stuff
