She'd cut a good Genki girl in an anime, albeit with her and Quote's skillsets, a pretty hardcore one. Honestly the whole story, fleshed out or extended, would translate well into a comic/cartoon.

Hey guys, how about we work out a moveset for quote/curly brace and mod them into smash bros? I'm thinking B is shoot, and obviously up shoot shoots up, etc. He'll use the spur, and so however long he holds down B changes how powerful his shot is. L+R switches his guns, between Spur, Blade, Fireball, Blade, and Nemesis. pressing Down-A gives you a level boost, but he spawns a crystal in front of him that levels up one. Any quote/curly can use the crystal, however. Jump will include the Jetpack 2.0, and pressing in any direction whilst jumping activates the jetpack's directional movement. What do you guys think?

**SPOILERS** Great ideas! What if his A Attack was using King's Sword? His final smash could be Something like King's Ghost or a Red Flower.
@swordsmancs10 жыл бұрын
Alpha Zalgo FInal smash could be summoning Ballos First/Second Phase to crush the opposition, and related assist trophy could be Balrog jumping around and firing missiles at things.
@dwangnoderbora10 жыл бұрын
swordsmancs No, Ballos is evil, that wouldn't make sense. I think Balrog would be a better final smash.
@swordsmancs10 жыл бұрын
Alpha Zalgo Why not make Ballos a character, sort of like what they did with Ganondorf? And how would Balrog make a good final smash? Maybe Misery, since she eventually turns good (along with Balrog)

@Alienrun4 жыл бұрын
@@grimm410 I agree with you 100%! Funny thing is that most (if not all) of the games you mentioned are pretty well known and popular, just imagine all the hidden gems that could be considered better than Cave Story (to give context if I had to give a list it would have been different from the one you gave). I did try to give him the benefit of the doubt, like its very possible he considers Cave Story better than all the games you just mentioned (I wouldn't know for sure personally as I haven't played them all) but my counter argument to that (if he were to say that as a response) is that there are SO many good games that have come out since then! Not only that but technology has advanced a lot...that might not seem like much if you only care about "passionate indie" games or whatever, but even that new tech and game design itself evolving and allowing new niches to be explored AKA allowing new depth to be explored that couldn't be done as easily before...well it benefits everyone. Point is...I really like Cave Story, I appreciate all that it does really well, but unless this person likes it THAT MUCH I can safely say from my experience alone I've found a ton of games I'd consider better than it! So yeah...not sure why I wrote all this, I agree with the notion that you should at least put a little bit of effort in finding new games you'd like before making bold claims like "GAMES HAVE GONE DOWNHILL, ITS NOT THE SAME ANYMORE!! :/" Granted, I also hate when people say "Old games suck cause they are outdated" but that's neither here nor there. I find the entire practice of restricting the legacy of gaming to a specific time period to be extremely unproductive and...just flat out wrong honestly... EDIT: I think what the OP was trying to say was something along the lines of "They just don't make games like they used to anymore"...and while I still don't agree with that, its much more easier to get behind, as the OP could just miss games made in this VERY specific style...and on that note I could kinda understand, as the circumstance of Cave Story's existence and cultural influence is very specific to the time that it was released and there doesn't really exist a game (at least to my knowledge anyways) that's designed almost exactly like it but better...

GAME DESIGNING TIIME! Everyone, do you think pixel should make a sequel to Cave Story? If so, should remixes of stings be included? And if we get enough people, we can get Pixel to do it! Who's with me!?
@ElickFlash10 жыл бұрын
it wouldn't work via on how it ended. how ever a spiritual successor is a different story. Maybe fix some of the issues that Cave Story has, (granted the game is amazing, but that finaly hell run is a bitch) Or maybe a prequel on the first guy they defeated with the demon crown, and then the events that lead to the first cave story happens.
@swordsmancs10 жыл бұрын
Elick Ashcroft I was thinking you would play as Quote, but he could actually speak this time around, and had a much closer relationship to Curly than in Cave Story. And a sequel can still be made. I mean, let us look at the final ending. Quote is finally learning how to speak properly, and enjoying a quiet life with Curly and Balrog. All of a sudden, because the Demon Crown was not truly destroyed, The Doctor returns and separates Quote, Balrog, and Curly from each other. It then becomes the three's mission to find each other and, after reuniting, destroy the Demon Crown for good, before a fifth master is found. it could contain some real life caves to explore, such as Mammoth Cave in Kentucky, etc. You could also switch between three story lines at your will, those of Quote, Curly, and Balrog. Quote and Curly can have a split weaponry of their armory, while Balrog has his own attacks, or they have to find their weapons, which were scattered around the world. It could work. Besides, there are tons of fan-made sequels to Cave Story available for download. You never know.
@ElickFlash10 жыл бұрын
Well that is an interesting look at it, but that requires designing 3 different gameplay styles. Having to get use to all of them. finding a good time to switch to them, and also designing different levels for each of them, writing a story that makes since to it... A lot of headache for one person... maybe if he had a team.
