A tuxedo cat is black and white. A calico cat has patches of different colors, usually some combination of white, black and orange. A tortoiseshell cat's fur resembles a tortoiseshell pattern, usually some combination of black and orange. A tabby has stripes, usually brown & gray, unless it's an orange tabby, which is white & orange. Tabbies often have a distinctive "M"-shaped marking on their foreheads.

While I did know all of these as fur patterns that cats have, I still struggled trying to figure out the spangram, as I was stuck on CAT being part of it

I think the theme refer to the colour/patterns of the fur rather than a type of cat but could be wrong

The tortoiseshell pattern is sometimes called tortoiseshell calico. We have a black cat with short hair!

I found a lot of extra words since it took me 4 hints to get them all. I thought maybe they were Hello Kitty characters. I don't know. 🐱🐈🐈‍⬛🦁🐯🐅🐆

This should have been easy but it wasn't. I tried just TORTOISE too and misspelled CALICO. So two errors.

You're right about tuxedo cats being black & white, but the arrangement of the markings can vary. The white areas can be placed in different parts on different cats.

@doraa.7873 pretty sure it's just the paws and maybe chest because it looks like a tuxedo
