Also, I have to comment on the fact that I love that Chris let them kind of play with the script to see what good ideas everyone could bring to his story. I think that everyone on this film probably enjoyed getting that opportunity and that's why they loved working on it. It helps that Chris is an actor, so he knows that sometimes you have ideas that could work.

Watching the bloopers actually gives a lot of insight - the film was obviously recorded on a continuous tape, with scope for ad libbing and for improvisation, which I think worked in its favour (especially given the time constraints)
