5:14 - why do you only turn on Fx force? If you have Fy forces do you have to turn this on aswell to see if the members are in compression or tension?

Hi there, This is a very good video and handy indeed. However, I am just learning some basics of the app and when following your step by step I realized that I don't have that many support options you do. How can I add more supports to my library? Cheers

Hi! I tried doing this exercise but the results were not exactly as yours. For example, instead of 5.00 it showed 4.97, instead of 8.00 it showed 7.95. I already deleted the DL1 and entered the exact value of the height. I'm using version 2020 btw.

Thank you for your comment. If you followed the same steps do not worry. That means the self-weight of the truss has been added. to remove it follow these steps:. Go to loads Tab, the select load table, after that select the first row which is shown as self weight and remove it. then run the analysis again and you will get the exact results. If you get further problems please let me know.
