STRUCTURE OF THE YOGIC TAROT SYSTEM

The Yogic Tarot follows the RWS tradition in core structure and layout. This creates a standard set of 78 cards with 22 Major arcana and 56 Minor arcana with four suits that encompass 40 Pip cards (number cards) and 16 Court cards.
The elemental association for the Minor arcana has been maintained and forms the foundation for the full sequences (Namaskar) for each Suit. The Major arcana sequence is based loosely on the Fool’s Journey. Each Major and Minor arcana card is associated with a specific philosophy, while the Court cards each represent a specific Hindu deity that has an association to the practice and philosophies of Yoga.
This traditional RWS structure then blends with the structure of the yogic Koshas (layers of the self) and the Chakras, adding depth to the self exploration aspect of the Yogic Tarot. This in depth article explores the Koshas in full and this resource explores each Chakra and the full system.
