I grew up hard raised by an outlaw on the back of my daddy's Harley, I came up in the hood doing gangster shit . I'm a father and a grandfather, I spent too much life behind cold bricks and bars, this song hit me hard, I struggled to fight my tears, I love my children and their children, they give my tattered life meaning and God restored all I lost. I'm American and proud regardless of my seaded path. Struggle and jelly roll are two artists I can understand and relate to. I wish I could thank them. #slumerican

I'm only 21. I'm an 0372 in the Corps. I grew up the same way. My dad used to take me to elementary school on the back of his Harley. Been getting woman since 2006 haha. My dad was a Rip City Rider here in Nor-Cal so ever since I was young, I've know folk who have done some pretty bad shit. I remember going to my dad's bestfriend's (My Godfather's) birthday party at about 10 years old. One of the people there was the president of the Hell's Angels Sonoma County chapter. I remember telling my dad on the drive home that he was kind of "weird". I now know that the word I meant to use was fidgety. (I was 10 😂) he then told my little brother and I "That is no life to live." It's just one example in my life that shows that growing up "rough" breeds the best men. He was a great man and y'all probably would've gotten along. God bless, sir.

I grew up going to the clubhouse to pick up my birthday presents and it was always a big party because my birthday is October 1st and my son Gabriel R.I.P 12/02/2020 used to go on Runs with my momma and he was in diapers so I would have to run diapers and other stuff to Salem or wherever they were heading and it was Freedom...... I have had to do things I may not be proud of but I always kept as many kids as I could safe and today I am not sure I see much of a future for these kids.... I applaud anyone who can overcome the darkness and still be willing to fight...💖🕊

I don't particularly care for run of the mill, standard inspirational sayings, but just remember that every time you were face down on the ground, you pushed up and stood tall! Also, no one is perfect, but don't ever consider any setback as a failure, it's a learning opportunity, and as long as you keep trying-you're successful! I can relate to never having a father, or even a reliable father figure, but I've found that it's helpful to take what I don't have, and use it to become what I need! Despite everything I've been through, I wouldn't change a thing because what was meant to happen did, and it's made me the person I am today.
