The poem being played throughout the trailer is used/was used by the US Navy Seals during SERE training where they have to listen to it over and over in a small room. Fits with the whole survival aspect of the world portrayed in the film.
@sc0ttishnutj0b75Күн бұрын
I heard that from my cousin who did the British special forces SERE. They’re also encouraged to adapt and go along with it, reciting it and by the time they master its rhythm then training will be over. So they both endure it and use it as a coping mechanism by repeating it to themselves during interrogation. The guys putting the Brits and the Americans I am assuming also through SERE play some fucked up playlists like babies and toddlers screaming in agony (real recordings of crimes apparently) and women being sexually raped (probably not real recordings)
@999jussumguyКүн бұрын
I was wondering if anyone else was going to comment about it. I also hear where they leave. You can vary. Sometimes they'll leave you in a small room or just somewhere out in the woods with that song playing over and over to see if you can endure.

For real?
@monstafloppa87113 сағат бұрын
The talking in the background is actually a poem called "Boots" By Rudyard Kipling (Jungle Book). Kipling wrote the poem in 1903. According to experts, "Boots" imagines the repetitive thoughts of a British Army infantryman marching in South Africa during the Second Boer War. It has been said that if the first four words in each line are read at the rate of two words to the second, that gives the time to which a British foot soldier was accustomed to marching. That, in and of itself, is terrorizing, but take the context away and listen to it or watch it here and it messes with your mind on a whole 'nother level. As always, great reaction gents.
@Cubsfan1221129 сағат бұрын
i didn't know this before, but the poem "Boots" that is being recited is a recording that was used in SERE training for US special operation forces for psychological effects

Been trying to think of a plot based on the scenes in the trailer. Obviously you've got people staying safe on that island, but in the zombie apocalypse, an island would be prized real estate. Everyone would want that. The soldiers with guns and flashlights on their helmets are the bad guys and likely trying to take over the island. They aren't going for a straight assault/invasion because that would create too many casualties. Instead, one or two of them sneak in, kidnap a guy and interrogate him for information. The guy hanging from his feet is the one they tortured.
