This new content exposed me and exposed ALOT of people and thats where people didnt like the new invasions. But did I take to Reddit and complain about how its too hard? No! Ive learned to give myself grace and understanding that maybe I just wasnt strong enough. The reality is that I barely fully catted my ult bunny and didnt work on my guns. Once I work on my guns, Ill try out invasion and melt some bosses. In my opinion, this new content is for those people that go on youtube and show their bossing lepic build killing Guttony in 2 seconds. The devs saw this and wanted to respond and create something challenging for people that put in 2000 hrs within the first 2 months of playing.

One of the main problems with build diversity is the U-tubers. Most of them have vids on dps, boss melting etc. They put more emphasis on damage and none on surviving. I can not count how many times I go do a boss in a random group and people are being one shotted. Happens far too often and it's because u-tubers never emphasize surviving. Your DPS doesn't matter if you are down or dead. ( I am not lumping you in with those U-tubers btw) And thank you for being one of the only U-tubers that has talked about survivability. Wish more U-tubers made content like this instead of always going for the click bait nuke videos.

Yep I find this too. You can have all the skill damage you like, but if you haven't got the survivability on your build you're going to die and affect the dps from the rest of the group when someone has to stop shooting to pick you up off the floor.

Perfect explanations on how to focus your efforts for casual players. I myself might have 200hrs. One maxed weapon and descendant. Now working towards another descendant and weapon. Prioritization will help the most. Havent spend a dime towards anything to help my progress. I can solo all intercepts thar can be soloed. My biggest gains will be for a better weapon right now and a better farming descendant.

W video.... I got 2 characters lvl up close to max, and sharen is half way thier. but also been using other chatacters too and working on them the entire time... One thing I really focused on was farming modules, and I also made the mistake of running around at lvl 40 not wanting to lock into a build Theres bosses in the invasion dungeon where i can barley get the shield off ... and it regens by the time I get to go at the boss again... I put like 500 hours in, but never really built up any weapons, other than throwing like one catalyst on some, which was clearly a mistake. You see content creators say you dont need a maxed out weapon to do this... Its true for some dungeons but for others its straight CAP... they make a video showing them doing the easiest invasion as proof You gained a sub for being straight up in this video

A good video. He understands the gap between those who invest large amounts of time, and those who can’t. That’s most grown up people with a job. Build a gun, stick loads of catalysts into it and your descendant of choice to have a decent starting point. It’s tedious to level, but with these xp boosts they are giving out each day and the extra xp in infiltrations now, you can level to 40 in a couple of hours or even less. Push through it and you get the rewards. Things get easier and more stuff drops on the journey. Build your descendant with HP and DEF and pay attention to resistances. As the guy says you can remove those things as you get stronger. Follow your own path, you will understand the game better.

At the end of the day what i think people forget is that its just a game. You should be enjoying yourself and having fun. Stop with this need to compete with others, or having to have what they have, or copying this persons build. Play at your own pace, learn and work on one thing at a time. I work full time and have kids so i only get a couple hrs a week if that. Gaming is not my life, so i enjoy the time i get to play. Watch these videos for tips and tricks to help progress but try to stop allowing yourselves to feel like its a race and just ENJOY THE GAME.

I’m part of the small few that enjoys the story, played through the campaign, enjoyed it. But what the heck is this S1, my Ajax was able to Tank shots from colossi on Hard, now I can’t even last 5 seconds on those platforms colors. It was super fun in the beginning but I haven’t even been able to get passed the first boss. Just waiting now…

⁠@@aquanixsome games are just meant to be hard. It may suck for those who don’t want it to be as hard. Some games are in between games and try to have difficult for more of a “hardcore” player base. Looter shooters like this tend to have “end game” content that is meant to be difficult without investing time, that’s how you keep a player base for a long time. Just look at Destiny they been around for 10 years and I loved it. There are still people I play with to this day on that game and it’s because it brings a challenge that you have to work to be proficient at before it becomes “easy”.

Thunder Cage, Greg's both a grind but doable. Enduring Legacy is ridiculous. Some of the amorphous patterns are not even listed. You gotta run a blind and hope grind. The game has officially beat me. I'll come back here and there but not going to play on a daily basis.

Yes, the weapon was my biggest issue. I did not want to invest in a weapon i dont like. So, while i could survive i lacked the dps to do some of the harder content. So, i focused on a single weapon to make as strong as possible. It has made it much easier. Also, unlike descendents weapons carry over to all descendents so at least picking a single weapon to invest in is the best choice.

you only need 2 weapons to complete all Hard mode content Thundercage (you get one for completing main story) easy to farm a few more after that for max stats.. then get youself LMG Tamer it i easy to get and mod and it is probably the second highest DPS Gun for bossing in game.

It certainly is the gun - I haven't been able to finish any invasion yet and I have two almost maxed Descendants, but my best gun is a level 2 Enduring Legacy that has been Catalyzed 4 times. It is not enough to burn a boss down. I went in with an off the shelf stock with ZERO catalysts Ajax and loaded him up with DEF and HP mods. Didn't have a single issue getting to the boss, but again, could not down the boss. I'm feeling that the end boss was tuned to a fully Catalyzed high DPS weapon. So now I'm just going to fully catalyze weapons going forward.

@@blastingweevil2968 I would avoid tamer, it's good that tamer gets you through normal mode but that's it. You'll likely have made it prof level 40 but that's all you need from it for mastery ranks. Thundercage is the by far most useful and very early to get and full max out (20% drop rate, I know it can be a sham but it's still by far the most fastest). Enduring legacy was somewhat easy to max out, gregs was more easier than enduring legacy IF you don't mind the smithereen blueprints (I have 76 :), Nazeistra was somehow made easy, Piercing light was somehow made easy, but afterglow remains difficult to me. Those are the three weapons worth having; Thundercage, gregs, piercing light for slow play/play at your pace. All you have to do once you get out of normal mode and into hard mode (other than going to the bunny cave/valby run/bunny run farming methods to max out certain modules to get kuiper and gold) assign WHICH ult descendant you (don't) want to farm. (Had better luck not tracking what I want and I got it from 6% code drop) - It's all RNG. I got ult ajax catalyst from AMP 121 in 2 tries, my aim was the 32% blueprint for my weapon...

I 100% agree you have to target focus your grind in games like this. Just under 400 hours and I have a fully built ult lepic, ult gley, ult valby and ult bunny (purchased day 1) if you don’t target focus your grind you’ll get lost and never accomplish anything

Great vid and info. As a casual solo player, I get the frsutration. I just still feel they need to do something on the drop percentages. 300+ hours and 9 Descendants unlocked, and did not spend any cash to purchase. It's doable, but not feasible. Put the gane down for the tome being. 👍🏾

I honestly just find invasions frustrating, especially the drones. To my eyes the shapes are overly complicated and not easy to remember, I don't know why they're all the same color instead of different ones, I didn't even notice the positional dots until someone in the official Discord told me about them. But making some pillars not give any clues at all and having them cover back up in seconds is just pure frustration that tests nothing in terms of my character, guns or skill. That being said, I'm pretty good with survivability but the invasions have made me aware that my maxed out Thundercage is excellent for mob clear but just not good enough for high-end single target DPS. So now I'm farming Enduring Legacy, got multiple copies of each part except for the blueprint which is a 10% chance in every scenario and after 40 amorphous of different types just refuses to drop. My issue is if you look at how things drop, there's something really rotten with the way the drop system is implemented. Like on most things there will be 2 items with a 32% chance, something with 16%, then 10 then 6 or something like that. If I go and open 60 amorphous of that thing I SHOULD get a fairly even distribution between the 2 32% items but instead you just a ton of exactly one of them, while the other one barely drops at all. I think we need a pity system where they prevent ridiculously unlucky streaks to happen, especially for items with a 6% drop chance.

My roommate got into this and I have been so beneficial to him Warframe and destiny I have about I want to say hundreds of hours in destiny but I have about 3,000 hours in Warframe. And I told him what made Warframe super easy since the progression system seems to be similar is completely decking out one character and putting a lot of focus into one weapon and that will help you farm everything else easier. And if you don't plan on spending money your best bet is probably picking bunny for the character and for the weapon I'm using the eternal willpower as my first weapon and then my last two slots are going to be two legendary guns I just have to pick which two legendary guns I like. But I'm not putting any materials into those legendary guns until my eternal willpower is completely done being built. (I mean jayber I haven't even actively farmed any of the other characters I know my play style I picked the character that I felt like I would have the most fun with and I picked him 😅 but the only content I've struggled with was the solo inversion missions and that's because the boss just won two shots you mechanic so it's not like I can really take cover that well this game doesn't have any real cover mechanics besides ducking behind a wall)

I think the point though that hasn't been touched on is the fact that casual players can feel the time gating aspect of these Season challenges. If a player does not have the same amount of time to invest in TFD as someone who can play many hours per day, eventually the season ends as well as its respective content, making casual players lose out on said content. So when Season 1 launched last Thursday, and 98% of the players hit a huge wall in this new story quest, the vast majority quickly realized that they may or may not be able to completely experience the Season 1 Invasion. I think that the solution would have been to introduce 2 modes for the Invasion: Normal and Hard, just like zones. The current implementation of the Invasion would be Hard mode, and a Normal mode should have dumbed down the content a little. Still make it a challenge, but not to the current extreme difficulty, especially for casual players who don't have a fully decked out Descendant and a couple of Ultimate Weapons. So, yeah, Zox.. if you want to bring that up to the developers and have them create two settings of difficulty just like the Normal/Hard zones and Intercepts, I feel that would go a long way for the entire playerbase, instead of just focusing on the 2% that can complete the content.

You realize it's going to change right? Although I'm kind of in but kind of not. I'm maxed but I couldn't complete it, I know what I'm missing but at the same time I'm not doing the change and it's my problem, but once I'm done, I should be able to tackle it. But here's the thing, it's changing it and it will be a lot easier due to the overall complaints 10:1 vote majority. Unfortunately you'll see bunny and lepic die, not you. You're good just like me, but for some reason I see non-built characters and their weapons die left and right, why bring it to gluttony? Don't know the mechanics? Learn, it was the same for a hanged man. Frost walker too hard? Again majority vote destroyed it. Although Ngl, I kind of welcome easier timing kills instead of making an entire fight last 8 minutes whereas if I can complete it in a group 2-4 minutes, I can fight it twice before you do one. But yeah, I may have my perfect bunny, but my weapon completely sucks. Doesn't help I'm slowly casualty leveling up my mastery rank how? Play your blue, purple weapons, not just your character especially if you only built 2. Every weapon must at least get level 40 prof to gain mastery (only certain ult weapons deserve to get donut/mushroom but you do need all 22 ult weapons at 40 one time), a VERY strong amount of casual players AND advanced players actually don't know this. Getting mastery at 26 is extremely helpful overall to ALL players but most advanced players stops at 17-18 and casuals stop at 13-14. (due to F2P 10 descendant slots is killer, you WILL need to delete but every character including non-ults must reach 40 at least once to get mastery 26) I may have maxed out enduring legacy, nazeistra, piercing light at 4 bars but if there is no donuts or mushroom, your weapon is dead. The reason why I blew through all contents (and got 10 hailey codes/36 slowly farming) is because my ult bunny is done, hitting 1.3-1.5m on crits AND 11k health AND 10k Def AND infinite sprint because it's fully donut and mushroom. I have no weapons done because I'm getting through mastery points (my current issue) I breezed through the invasion although couldn't kill the tanky boss not without weapons the way I see it.

The content isn't even that difficult. I can clear it using base Ajax with no energy activator. You don't need a maxed out character, you might need a partially built weapon though.

Im definitely more hard-core on my grinding verus, my friend who is more casual. I make it point to put in extra work in between college classes so that when my bro wants to play, we can get him caught up so he can enjoy his short amount of time on the game.

Fully agree with you on this. The biggest lesson I learned in this game is before you even log in set up a game plan. Pick something you want to grind for a stick to it until you get it. Plain and simple. The game is easier for those who put in the time. People need to stop complaining about the game being hard, just get better or strategize.

I don't rush this game, I see the reddit posts of people with 500 hrs that are burnt out and quitting. I play an hour or two a night and then switch to a different game. Its the secret to not getting bored with tfd. I have fully built jayber and kyle, currently building ultimate viessa.

Self a struggler here. Actually, a very good analysis of the "casual situation". My struggle is the campaign boss. Just not able to put in enough damage. But my issue is, not the mechanic, not the boss, but the endless spawn of mobs. Even with 6.6k HP, 28k DEF, 500 shield and 4k all RES, the sheer amount of them chipping away my HP makes it running out of attempts. It is really frustrating, especially so, it is the campaign mission.

Matchmake , there's always players running these missions for amp materials that have no problems carry you through the mission . I do it all the time .

They can put in a modifier for the people that want harder content. They're going to lose players if they just leave it like it is. It's that simple. Lose half your player base by keeping it unplayable for casuals, or simply make a setting that the hardcore players can choose to do. Obviously the rewards should be better for the hardcore, but the game has to be palatable for casual players or else you lose 50% of your player base, minimum.

Just subscribed! I can't agree more with you! I've spent many hours on this game 😆 I like it ! It's fun ,challenging and you get rewarded for your time ! I struggle with builds on both Descendants and weapons but I get it done. My son and I both play. Sure tfd has issues, glitches and occasionally drops me out of a mission but I keep at it! I have spent money cause I feel supporting this game shows 1 I like it, 2 gives the creators more annicitive to keep going, 3 I get what I pay for! People spend 70 - 100 bucks on any other game, this one was free so 20 bucks isn't hurting anyone! Goof video!

I'm a casual and I'm doing fine . Bunny + Thunder Cage maxed out during campaign , Ult Gley + Greg's maxed out right after I hit hard mode . As a casual you have to manage your time , of course we all want that awesome build right away but that's not gonna happen . If you have 2 hours a day suck it up for a week , run Bunny cave , Mag Lab , FO or whatever else gives you as much XP as possible and lvl your shit up . Make sure you throw on a 30% booster if you have one . After that you go and have fun . Halfass builds are no fun .

I would have to say looking back what made things easier was.. focusing Bunny and catallyzing her up and making her strong, at the same time doing it to the thundercage and the extra four copies. Then running magisters labs every day as a routine and opening like 10 amorpus 56s to keep the inflow of the catalysts and or activators if needed. after that ground work is laid.. then start building on the base.. lepic.. or hailey now, valby and gley.. but getting gregs maxed and end legacy maxed.. man I sure am glad I did that for this new stuff.

I got ult Descendants and some weapons maxed in 3 days only farming like an hour and a half each day. You really just gotta farm each piece heavy for a pattern quick fast hard runs in 10 minutes for patterns 1hr and half = 18 patterns. 1 hr and a half = 18 patterns recon mission prolly around 30 Or farm half the time for void materials for lime 15 runs 1hr and a half run all patterns and get drops. One thing I want and I think would help with apparent difficulty is a suggested damage elements for the invasion, or whatever the new hard dungeons are called. One of the first invasions I ran electric and failed because the boss' shields refused to melt in time to get it done but after switching to toxic he was much easier, so my thought is like with the colossi where it suggests a damage type. While I want hard content I hope they stay willing to nerf because; A: some things are hard but managable until you add in the mechanic like the immortality phase of a boss being long enough for it to refill all of its shields wasting/adding a bunch of time in a timed mode, B: making things possible for a public or solo match cause things that require an orchestrated exact team just aren't going to work for 90% of players.

There are 2 types of players and each type has a sub-type. You have you casual players then your grind hard players. In each type you have solo and group players. I, for example am a casual solo player. If I team up with anyone, it will be people I don't know. People like me will be the weakest. We will be the ones complaining to the devs it's too hard. On the other end you have people who grind hard with groups of friends and these people will complain that it's too easy. So that's where are.

It’s the high barrier to entry that gets me. Grind’s one thing, but even getting to the baseline of something you want to try (like a specific character) is really hard to reach, just to find out that thing might not have been for you. It doesn’t feel good as a F2P to have to commit once you start because it will take you so long just to get back to that base level.

Defensive stats such as HP, shield and DEF should be built differently depending on the descendant. They all have different base stats, and building percentages on higher base stats will net you more defensive gain, and lower base stats net lower gains. You should consult the stat graph for your descendant when trying to figure out what you should build. My problem with difficult content in this game is not with survivability, its with DPS checks and timers.

I don’t build for resistance or defense and just build for health. I am way into endgame where I can solo everything and those two stats just get in the way. Early on these are great if you are just starting out but like you said, I have eased off of them cause I find they are not needed.

I think the biggest problem is that if you are investing in one descendant and one weapon just to be able to take on hard mode and maybe few first hard bosses, that is still 20 catalysts and 20 times leveling that two is painful and boring. Nobody wants to jump in bunny cave 1-2 hours a day just to level up your character and weapon once. For that 20 catalyst, you need to do same missions on repeat over and over to get the materials, not mentioning catalyst blueprints which are max 20% drops from 25% drop on hard reactor. So casual players who plays maybe 2 hours a day is gonna have a hard time just killing Executioner. Then you need Sharon, Enzo... That is time consuming. This sh*t is making casual players give up or just be angry cause they need to have a gun to beat the boss. But that gun can get if they beat the boss they wanna kill. This is the paradox

I can understand why some fined it diffucult and frustrating. I have spent a lot of hours in the game and also thought it was a bit turbulent when i first started hard mode. I pretty much agree with this survivabillity point My tips would be , pay more attention to your gun than you decendant / abilities first ... the gun can be gradually more useful as you invest into it, and content become more easy as soon as the ones that kill you are dead. The decendants need much more work and time before they get to a point where they become demigods... when they do though, thats when ppl starts saying it is easy. Basically you dont need ANY hp if the boss dies in 5 seconds So basically... stack survivabillity on your decendant, and dps in your gun, until you are able to farm the solo bosses..then start maxing your decendants.

As a casual..probably 50 hrs mostly solo, gun mod upgrades were the most impactful by far outside of HP mods. If you cant kill the VI bosses, all that hard mode farming for amorphus mats will be for nothing

Great video! I've only just got to the point where I can clear invasion missions comfortably and it is because I stopped copying everyone else's builds and focused on what I needed to get me through the harder content. I've been doing hard colossus fights and seeing so many people drop and cause a wipe because they are just getting smashed by the boss in one hit. Glass cannon builds only work if you can stay alive to put in the damage. Focus on building one character with plenty of survival and catalising up your favourite gun and you will get through it all 😊 Please stop complaining things are too hard, it's supposed to be challenging. Level up your character and weapon and try again.

Hard content is fine. But it should never be daily seasonal content that’s required to get all rewards in the season pass

I hate to say it because people want certain Descendants as their main, but know what your descendants jobs are. Having a built up Bunny/Valby,(mobbing) and Hailey/Gley (boss fights) for example is going to finish content a lot easier than trying to force Descendants into roles they are not built for. Do your research on what your characters roles in the game are.

You truly only need 2 characters, ult bunny for mobs and ult gley for bossing lol. Rest is preference and obviously there’s much more to this game but that’s just my simple take.

I had almost 400hrs and felt like I was getting 2 shot by everything. I was not able to complete any of the invasion missions. So I have given up on the game and moved on.

it is not about difficulty i often run 250% hard mod dungeons solo with ease it is the invasions and the STUPID mechanics.. they are not hard just a massive Time sink and fucking annoying Especially if your farming with bunny and you HAVE to stand on a tiny circle to activate it.. i mean WTF is that shit about.. also this game was and still is a CO-OP game yes ??? so why now all of a fucking sudden we have SOLO only content.....

Game is dying slowly. Glad i didnt spend money on the gane. I was close to supporting it, but i will wait a little more. Just getting boring doing the same mission like 40+ times to get patterns and then get a wave of light part all the time. They need to make stabalizers drop more or be able to trade the millions of other parts that i have to trade in for stablizers. The game will fail if they dont copy warframe. Thats all they need to do. The missions are just go forward and kill. The game needs to add harder missions. Even with the defend the zones, it was just tooo easy. Make a no revive mode or something so we can think twice about pushing and modify our builds. The game needs way more guns to farm, because the people that only game and dont do anything else are just playing and getting everything already. I give this game until mid November. If the next update doesn't deliver, the player base will drop and people will go back to Warframe.

Easy to get side tracked I was getting behind wit my power so I had to stop farming guns an level up my mains so I can run hard bosses that power gap gets nasty fast.. but the new missions are end game content not for just out of normal mode u need all slots maxed an guns fully upgraded ppl act like they never played a game before its called hard mode for a reason

You did the right thing though. The absolute first thing to do is get a good gun and get it build out since it improves the power of every character. It makes everything else easier.

Good external components are the most important.....shields are crap on all characters except Ajax and Even on Ajax it isn't that important. The problem is that shields have low numbers.

Me and my friend dont have a hard time on most content, he never goes down even though he uses bunny im a valby main and its hard asf to take me down, the new content its just anoying to me, not well implemented, the haily grind its just an insult for everybody, this invasion dungeons dont need nerf, what they need is coop and to be able to do them all the times you want, not this 4 a day garbage they have going on now.

I highly regret spending money on game. It was a huge mistake. The people who say the game is easy spend 10-15 hours a day. It's clear the developers cater to them. I don't have time to build a bunch of characters. I spent bunch of money right before the update came out, but I'm not spending any more.

I may spend 10-15 hours a week on this game. It didn't get rough until Pyromaniac. After that, it was fine up until I started Hard mode. The real culprit is the facts that things become a DPS check without knowing

@DarkRockstar2 don't chase those ultra dps builds for public interceptions. Get high hp, defense and elemental resistance until you gear up properly (mods and all). Then you build boss killers, but 1st you need to survive.

This game is being based off one character way to much! Every board is a bunny board. Easy clears with bunny and hard clears with every other character. You want harder content just change your character from bunny to anyone else. Make boards for other characters a you might not have to keep adjusting everything all the time.

People just feel like if they can’t get the things they want right from the get go that the game must not be for them. How unfortunate. As a whale I’ve heard many times they will cater to the casuals but despite all that. patience is key and anything can be solved with time and determination. I’ve never played a looter shooter and expected to get everything I wanted right off jump. Most of the people that play this game…it’s not for them because they don’t know what type of game they are playing. I hope the community grows out of all these entitled lazy people soon. I work 2 jobs and come home and play. I have all the characters and a majority of the weapons MR 24 with multiple built weapons and characters….what’s everyone else’s excuse?
