Yeah mate..thats solution i actually though is the only one left. I have 4 of my teeth gone in last 3 years.4 need fixing and i bet there is another few to take care of. My only option is to call emergency when it is already bad. I got number from the last emergency dentist to call Manchester dental hospital.And when you call,they tell me i need referral from dentist. But no dentist want to give referral if you not his patient.Tried my GP.No way. And i have a ulcer there growing for last 5 months and even maxilofacial told me i habe to wait upto 12 months.And even then,maxilofacial cant give me referral to dentist. So it is basically impossible in England to find dentist. Yes.Private.Thays not possible for me to afford. We should be allowed to go private and send the bill to the government. Because it is their fault we cant find dentist.But you still habe to pay NI.

If we're unemployed how can we afford this? I've had no dentist for 5 years. I've now got 3 rotten teeth and gingivitis. No nhs dentists anywhere near me..I have to borrow the money to get work done. It's absolutely terrible. This is N. Ireland

Same here in UK. They charge a consultation fee then hit you with an unaffordable price for the work. Nice way to get a free 75 quid if you can't afford the price for the work.

This aged well not , 2024, all NHS dentists are now private I live in Devon the area where I am consists of 3 towns non are taking on, I am at a loss as the NHS waiting list is years.....

Sorry this is all rubbish ive tried everything everywhere i was due for extrations and dentures but due to personal issue had to be relocated so had to cancel that was in may 2023 im in constant pain and my life is on hold as it effects my speech eating thinking everything my mental health is declining im at a total loss

Do you have any contact details for dental training hospitals? I am desperate to get my teeth fixed. I suffered bulimia for many years and it ruined my teeth ( broken or cracked). It’s effecting my mental health too as I avoid contact with anyone because I don’t want them to see my teeth. I would be extremely grateful if you could help by providing that info. Thank you ❤

@mikeymoo1291 I actually got a reply and acceptance from one! The day I watched this video I emailed 3 different dental schools and got an acceptance within 24 hours. I couldn’t believe it, I was shaking reading it! Lol I’m just waiting for my first appointment and was told it will take 6 appointments for the work. So I would definitely recommend contacting them it works!!

Some dental practices with an NHS contract for children will accept children. The parent would have to be registered with the practice as a private patient. You will have to ring up your local NHS dental practices and ask them about this.
