Yo I have a 1080p video, but if I render it at 1440p it comes out with less quality. What should I do to reduce the blurriness when upscaling? Do I just have to get a 1440p monitor so I can record at that resolution?

Videos are usually captured at 1920 by 1080 pixels. Make sure you’re exporting the 1440 by upping the resolution on the 1080 to 1440 rather than lowering the 1920 to 1440. Check the metadata/info of the video to see what the output resolution is. If you are making the resolution higher rather than lower and it’s still blurry it could be the mbps is too low. It may be the compression on the video making the video look fuzzy/splotchy. Unless your monitor is a resolution lower than 1440p it shouldn’t be the monitors fault. Especially if the video looks good before exporting. Let me know if any of these things work! I hope you fix your footage!

What I usually do is export the video to 2048x1152 to trick KZbin into using vp9. Do you have a video on render settings?

@@TidaIize Yes I do, it’s called DaVinci resolve export settings for beginners. It’s how I exported for KZbin for most of my videos.
