Some folks bought 10 boxes at $800. Everyone else tried to get in lower. Most folks had zero shot at these in the past. It's better this way than any other way to get as many people an opportunity

Yeah sorry I refused to pay that for just 32 cards. I'll wait for Bowman Chrome instead and heck even 1st Sapphire singles in the off season will drop in price. They're nice cards but the cost per card to me isn't worth the risk. Only if keeping sealed does it make sense to me tbh. Two autos of the same player is funny. Hopefully Perez Jr pans out. Thanks for sharing!

Respectfully have to disagree with the assessment of how they're sold and cost despite the secondary market saying otherwise. The more concentrated the boxes get into fewer people's hands the higher they get inflated. A PSA 9 Jackson Chourio from last year is $45. Sure, 3x the production, but a $140 PSA 9 for the guy who's top 3 in the prospect ranks shows the values for base aren't as high as we think. We'll see what happens when these guys come up in the next few years.

Always my question with this type of product is did you get the value from the cost. $400ish per box? Without the upgrade shop...just a hard one to swallow. Topps and Fanatics has shown us the future...and they are gonna be VERY profitable lol. Thanks for sharing the rip as always.

Once in a master box of Finest I pulled 2 Rowdy Tellez autos in the same master box. In 8 boxes of 2019 Archives Snapshots I pulled 3 Brad Keller autos. Last year Archives Snapshots I pulled three Bryan de la Cruz autos. You probably have more upside on your repeat autos.

Love the product, just can't justify the price to myself. Perez looks like an interesting prospect. Could have done worse with the autos, but would it kill Topps to shuffle the boxes.

Really cool product. We’ll see how the secondary performs on this. I’m not sure folks are going to go wild for singles, particularly if they bought into the auction for so much. That said cards look really good in this design and I hope you get value out of grading these before the end of the month.

I was on a plane when the Dutch auction was going on and sprung for the good internet just to have a shot to buy these. Tried multiple times at $375, but Topps’ antiquated, broked*ck web site wouldn’t let me pay for and complete my purchase. Like you, I had no problem with the Dutch auction format, especially in light of the smaller print run. But they need to upgrade that web site yesterday. Thanks again for the constant quality content.

So much vitriol in the comments. I don’t understand it. Not every Topps product will fit into everyone’s budget. There are plenty of valuable products intended for all budgets: Topps S1, S2 and Update. Heritage, Opening Day, Topps Chrome, Sonic, Lite Boxes, Bowman regular, Bowman Platinum, Bowman Chrome Mega boxes, Bowman Lite boxes, Ben Baller Chrome, and most Panini products just to name a few. The Dutch auction wasn’t a bad idea. If $375 or higher isn’t in your budget, just be happy for those that got a few and wait for the next affordable release. The “Haters” that Stryker is alluding to are the guys on the Blowout Forums that hate everything about the hobby. Those people add no value to the hobby other than wanting to tear it down and make others hate the hobby with them. Great video, Stryker - keep up the great work!

I’m only a hater of the Dutch auction. I was a little upset at the floor price, because honestly, I can’t justify ripping a box of cards that costs $350, when my return is likely $87.50 or less. When they were $200-$250, I could talk myself into it. I have sealed boxes that I only paid $100-$200 for in the last couple years, that have appreciated past $300 and up. And even though I might have a few boxes from each set, and my cost is low, I still can’t bring myself to rip them. For the sole reason of, the sealed box is more than likely worth more than any/all cards inside. But sapphire WAS my favorite product to rip. I still have a sealed box of each Sapphire release from 2021, and 1 each of ‘22 Bowman and ‘22 Bowman Chrome. I guess I’ll hold those. The 2021 set of 4 could bring a premium if any rookies from those sets end up doing anything significant. I know Kelenic was hot for a minute. He was ‘21 Update, if I’m not mistaken.
