After watching this......Topps will never make a set like this again, 2023 may have more depth in rookies, but 2022 parallel and foil sets are unmatched!!!!!

You can still get these Jumbos off of eBay for about the same price I bought mine a year and a half ago. I was gonna sit on it but sold it. I paid like 224 for mine. Made maybe 20 bucks off the sale lol. It's a tough rip as far as ripping it for yourself and I definitely don't have fire hands.

I was gonna do the same thing but the prices aren't really moving like I had predicted that they would so I sold mine lol. I can get on eBay now and get one for almost the same price that I bought mine back in September '22.

Thanks for sharing, bummer about the lack of good parallels. I do think blasters are as cheap ($30) as they might ever get right now. I think Royce Lewis will break out and JRod/Witt will keep going strong this season.

I'll tell you my 2022 Topps story, which actually came from series 2 Jumbo boxes. t box auto was that same Ivan Castillo you pulled, then the second box had a Julio Rodriguez 1987 auto worth around 800 at the time. Jrod made my year that time , and I didn't feel as bad about the castillo box,lol.

As much as I love 2022 update, I'll probably sell off my stash here when Chourio stuff starts coming out. Assuming Julio's in the running for MVP this season, 2022 update stuff could see a pretty decent jump. Helps now that Ohtani's in the National League.

These boxes are so good. Slow day but still fun to watch! Pulled a blue border Dominguez out of a blaster today. Up to 2 Dominguez rookies, 6 ELDCs and 2 Carters. None of the EDLCs are parallels or anything though so kind of a bummer

This was my experience as well. I went big on Black Friday and bought a couple cases of 2022 Topps Update Jumbo boxes as well as a case of 2022 Topps UK Edition Hobby Boxes. Entirely disappointing! The Jumbos were just meh, nothing wrong, but really no major hits. The UK Edition were an abosolute disaster as I did get some hits, but all the cards were damaged. In the upper right corner, there were dings where the card surface was pulled up and always in the same place. Ruined some major hits like the Torkelson purple auto and a gold Juan Soto. The case wasn't damaged in the slightest, so this came factory direct. I won't make the same mistake again.

Tough break. Just can't justify pulling the trigger on hobby nor jumbo at the current price range. Hanger box case might be much better than a jumbo. My best rookie pulls cane from retail; Jeremy Peña Baseball Star Red parallel Auto, which was a redemption, was pulled out of a retail display box. Rainbow foil, Gold, Green and Orange Ice parallel of Bobby Witt all came from retail.

Why aren't game used mem cards worth more? To me they seem so special and rare! A player can autograph a card unlimited times but the event used memorabilia is so limited like that 22 ASG stuff (which I attended 🙂)!

The parallels' are above average while the player on the card ruined it. So overall a slightly "average" 2 jumbo boxes?

I'm sure it cost Topps a ton to create the manufactured patches. I agree they should add a parallel in place of the patch

Stryker, if you could as you open packs point out cards you would consider sending away for grading?. Of all types of level of cards as you go. Kinda helps me judge what's a decent card since I'm just getting back into this since I was a kid. Thanks

That was rough especially the autos. I feel like every jumbo case should have at least 1 good auto in it. I wouldve given the case a C- if I were to grade and thats cuz the Julio HFA brought it up to that otherwise D- at best besides that nice card.

These Jumbos sucked, you would have been better off with retail hanger boxes. I realize it is luck of the draw, but it seems like you are paying for the autos and manufactured patches, of which 98% off suck.
