I kind of think some of the magic is how the DMM effects the dry signal. The Brig is leaving it alone. DMM still has it.

Brig sounds pretty good. There’s still a clarity in the repeats of the DMM that the Brig doesn’t quite nail, but it gets close.

The demo that I was looking from the one and only Mr. Snobel ✊ DMM is lush and has that true analog character, Good try from strymon in capturing the vibes so closely, cheers 👍 I love my DMM!

I have the same EHX model and I love it when using single coils but I hate it when using humbucker high gain pickups because it clips the signal creating and unwanted and unmusical distorted tone. Does anyone know if the Strymon handles better high gain pickups?

Brig sounds closer to a Carbon Copy or other standard analog delay. DMMs have their own sound in the analog delay realm.

Is your DMM not noisy as crap with the level cranked halfway? I have to keep my dmmxo level around 10-11 and blend no higher than 9.

analogman mods the input buffer on the dmm to reduce noise and adds an internal trimpot at some point along the input path to allow less out of control repeats with the gain knob up. I haven't compared the difference, but it's like $62 including return shipping, and worth considering if those things are all that's keeping your dmm on the shelf.

I currently have vintage dmm and dm2 on my board, and this could replace both. I think it sounds close enough, and I like the sound, midi presets, and size.

To my ears Brig sounds more natural. And fuller. It doesen't color the tone as much as Ehx. Ehx is very good tho.

I love my DMM and will never sell it. That said, calling these overpriced toys is insane. The Brig is half as much as the current DMM prices, or less. The difference is negligible, certainly not on “different planets” lol, come on
