I've had mine for a week and am totally blown away by this thing. It's a fairly simple pedal but there are thousands of beautiful soundscapes in there. Little tweaks of any knob make big changes. I find myself noodling for hours, just exploring what it can do. Hypnotic is what it is. And seriously addictive. This one will never leave my board. I don't know how I lived this long without THAT sound, but I will never be without it again. Btw, as good as this demo is, is doesn't even come close to being in the same room with it and feeling it in your gut. Once you know, you'll know.

I'm an acoustic player that is starting to dabble into the idea of pedals. Every time I see a review or demo of this thing, I always have the same thought; it is an instrument. It is an instrument that you play with another instrument. Incredible little thing, truly.

My Cloudburst came a few days ago....and this is the best pedal I've ever bought... it seems so perfectly suited to the kind of ambient acoustic guitar I play. There's something almost AI like in the way the sound seems to shape itself around what you're trying to create. At the moment only tried it through my Yamaha steel Silent and a Laney Audiohub 150....which just goes to show you don't have to spend a fortune to get a great sound at home !!.

Very lovely - but I would encourage anyone feeling GAS to try increasing the decay on their existing reverb pedal and playing some slow picked chords first - might be there’s settings you haven’t explored for inspiration yet. 😊

Can the volume of the ensamble be controlled by an expression pedal and/or midi while maintaining the reverb level constant?
@sweetwater Жыл бұрын
Hi, Robert! Thanks for your question. The Expression port controls knob functions on the Cloudburst. Since Ensemble is accessed by a 3 way switch, it’s not variable by external control. Hi. Could you explain how this works in stereo when there’s only one input and one output? Thanks!
@sweetwater6 ай бұрын
Hi, MrFuzzleupagus! Thanks for your message, hope you’re well. From the manual: Equipped with a single TRS input and TRS output jack, the pedal keeps to a compact form factor while still giving you the option to use it in stereo. A dedicated rear panel Input switch allows you to determine the audio routing, selecting between Mono In → Mono Out, Mono In → Stereo Out, or Stereo In → Stereo Out (stereo in and out requires a TRS cable for each jack). Please contact us direct with other questions as you have them! Robert Williams, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 2371, robert_williams@sweetwater.com

Sounds fantastic but I'm wondering what kind of stress this is going to put on guitar speakers they're not designed to perform the same as a stereo speaker typically in the past stereo speakers are the ones that received this kind of energy and fluctuations Warehouse guitar speakers for design for a pretty simple frequency response range...
@jjrusy7438 Жыл бұрын
you may be over-thinking this. guitar gear is made to take the most abuse. squealies and dive-bombs, full-on feedback and kicking gear on stage. IMO, guitar monkeyshines would more easily destroy a stereo system which is not designed for crazy transients, 100% clipping and puking of the amps. basically ghost mall summed it up heh.

Strymon could put all these effects in a single unit like the helix but they keep selling them one by one. I think their are just trying to speak to the pedal purists who: 1. Don't know that Strymon is digital 2. Don't know how to operate helix or fractal

This is literally an algorithm from their Bigsky reverb, just with added ensemble mode. All the sounds of this pedal will likely be in the next generation of Bigsky.
