You GOTTA react to "Do Unto Others" by Stryper. It's from their latest album "Even The Devil Believes". ETDB was released October 2020. "Do Unto Others" is about the Golden Rule: Do Unto others as you would have them do unto you.

That's Oz Fox playing lead guitar in that song. I've never listened to Stryper much but Oz is a nice guy. I worked next-door to where he worked back in the early '80s (pre-Stryper). We jammed on guitars several times and he was the first one who told me that President Reagan got shot (and the second to tell me that John Lennon was killed). 4 years later we ran into each other and he told me he was in the band Stryper. Blew my mind. Was happy for him.

Thank you India for reacting to this!! As always I love and appreciate your honest reaction to Stryper. I didn't give you the link to the video that goes with "Always There For You" because, to me, it would have distracted from the music. This songs means to me what Christ Jesus says to us as humans as well as how we need to be towards each other as humans. My favorite part of the lyrics is "When the world has closed the door and you can't go on anymore, I'm always there for you!" Again, India, Thank you thank you thank you!! You have brightened up my day yet again with a great and honest reaction. You are the best!! Michael Sweet, the lead singer, had and still has an amazing voice. He is one of my All-Time Favorite rock/metal vocalists. Some songs that you might like better is "Honestly"; "Lonely"...both power ballads. You might also check out their cover of the Earth Wind and Fire classic song "Shining Star". Another ballad you might like is "Lady". Thanks again, India!! And, once more, you are The Best!!

Stryper is a great band. Their song "Calling On You" was the most played song of the year on MTV for a year in the 80's. Saw them on this tour in '88 and at a Christian music festival about 10 years ago and they still are intense. "In God We Trust" is an excellent, in your face metal song to review. Their power balled, "Honestly" was written for the singer's wife and "Together as One" is also a beautiful song.

In the 80s and just barely into the 90s, there were Rock bands that were a little harder than mainstream Pop or Rock, but who still were more melodic in their vocals and often featured “power ballads” on their albums. Those were referred to as “Hair” bands or “Hair Metal”. Mostly referring to the big, and long, hair dos associated with those types of bands. They spent more time on their hair and outfits and image and their branding than a lot of the heavier Metal bands did. Stryper is a Christian Rock band that successfully crossed over from the Christian genre into the Pop/Top 40 markets. They’re still making music, though it’s actually much harder Metal NOW than it was then. I think you would relate to, “Honestly” by them. It’s a beautiful song. For a little harder stuff that’s from that same era, try, “To Hell With The Devil”. For something new, try “Pride” or “God Damn Evil”.

@@jakefoxx7978 I saw them live at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, half way through the show they start talking about Jesus and throw bibles out to the audience, so I think it's pretty fair to use the label 😀
@jakefoxx79785 жыл бұрын
@@watchtheskies I think it's the fact they don't want to limit the audience they reach out to, which is anyone who is willing to give them a listen. It's not that they don't want to lose their fame or money, they're just aware of how rejecting people can be. There's this unwritten rule or standard they'd be "breaking" that the church has thrown at them for years. To me it shouldn't matter how we praise God or what we listen to if we guard our hearts. God knows Stryper's intentions, the world doesn't.

Hello! This is my first time seeing one of your reaction videos. Since I recently started checking out reaction vids, KZbin daily suggests new people. Today it suggested you. I enjoyed your reaction and subscribed. Thank you for NOT making the annoying mistake that many people make on reaction videos - hitting the pause button too many times. You seem to be very sparing with pausing the music. The reaction video I just saw of someone's before yours, he literally wouldn't let the song get through a single sentence without stopping. Obviously, your channel is about seeing your reaction, which means pausing the music. I just had to give you this compliment, about not riding the pause button like many others do. Ok, now that I've established myself as a picky person, have a wonderful day! I look forward to seeing more of your reaction videos. God bless! 🙂

They call it Hair Metal for the big long hair that bands had in the 80's. A lot of popular rock/metal ballads were hair metal. Originally called glam metal due to the males looking like females. Believe me the females loved it back then. 😅
