Their songs expressed the power of GOD. The God of heaven and Earth.

A Christian girl gave me this cassette in jr. High, I was into Slayer, possessed, the exploited etc, now that Christ Jesus is my strength and my shield, I see what she was giving me was the message of the Crucified and resurrected Lord.

I 1st seen Stryper at Knott's Berry Farm back in late 84' early 85' just before Soldiers Under Command came out, The show was at the Birdcage Theater, I was 16 back then....That is what got me hooked forever on Stryper, I went on to see them several more times since.... Great band!!

I was looking for the answer all the time Always looking, never finding I was empty inside Falling into darkness Needing the light to see Reaching out for shelter Then He set me free [Chorus] _I reached out, You reach out, He'll reach out today_ _I reached out, You reach out, He'll reach out today_ If you're looking for the answer, now this is the time To stop looking and start finding that feeling inside You don't need the darkness When there's a light to see He'll provide the shelter And He'll set you free _Repeat chorus_ I'll reach out, I'll reach out I'll reach out, I'll reach out today Oh, reach out today Oh, reach out today Oh, reach out today Oh, reach out today I'll reach out today.

"I did" Free will theology allows a person to boast, im not saying thats your intention, you are just a victim of free will decisional regeneration type theology Biblical theology is HE DID that is what is wrong with the humanist free will (arminian) theology You were dead in your sins and trespasses, hostile toward God, unable to submit to God, your will a slave to sin held captive ( (ephesians1, romans 8 2 tim2) God reached out to you WHILE YOU WERE DEAD You only reached out to him when he made you alive and GAVE you faith (Ephesians 2) I love these guys I have from their beginning, but they are very arminian in their lyrics
@all4Hisgloryalone2Tim2157 жыл бұрын
#1 I made it clear that i was not saying that was his intention, but rather that i believe he is just a victim of bad theology. Then i go on to talk about theology not him. #2 you are the one attacking a person calling them "condescending", "arrogant", "prideful", etc. You dont know that I didnt attack Stephen. In fact my heart was one for people who get deceived by humanistic forms of Christianity and a band ive loved since the beginning being so heavily saturated ( not really in this song) with humanistic Free will theism. As far as the other stuff you brought up i am willing to discuss these things in an off air or on air google chat your choice Im not into long dialogues typing cause of my bad eyesight and i prefer more personal communication. I admit the way i phrased the first part of the first sentence came off snarky i apologize and will change it. #3 You criticize me for over reacting to what Stephen said , and i can see that. I would have to say that you went WAY BEYOND in your over reaction to me. and were harsh in your judgments of someone you dont know. I judged a statement you judged a person.
@all4Hisgloryalone2Tim2157 жыл бұрын
#4 If its arrogant to go around correcting peoples statements and theology, then why is it ok for you to do so? Next time dont attack me rather challenge what i say like i did Stephen I found your attitude and judgement of my personality to be more like what you were trying to condemn in me You say "it's just utterly and completely condescending and arrogant to go around issuing your theological correctives every time someone doesn't say it as you would have them say it." ...yet you did this , and then you follow it up with a condescending comment like this " Maybe the doctrines of grace can save you from your pride, even as you are trying to save Stephen from his." You see the inconsistency? I understand some of your point and im not mad at you but gees slow your roll on directly attacking a person please
