‘STS ST15’ Euro Lock picked & fully gutted.

Another truly awesome lock that was very kindly sent to me by Tallan Pick. In this video i show how to pick & gut the lock.

A very enjoyable pick of a very complicated lock.i must be honest and say That when you was showing us the key it said to me 20 to 30 minutes at LEAST! Your experience proved otherwise. A well made lock ,great Engineering, a great pick with 1st class commentry as the vid progresses. What more do I need to put a smile on my face,thanks billbo.

Wow there is a lock whose designer didn't know when to stop. I can imagine that the management had to prize the designer away from the design board - kept rushing back, screaming "what if I add this..." Superb wonderful lock and superb work as always.

You are probably right mate, I honestly think that the only difference they could possibly have made would have been to make those passive pins non passive, i may very well have been in trouble then. Have a great weekend. 😎👍

The good thing about this lock is that each element could be pick & set, then move on to the next element. Also the 5 pins on top didn’t need picking. Still an awesome lock. Have a great week my friend. 😎👍

Wow, very impressive as ever!! Nowhere near as easy as you made it look I bet. A locksmith gave me a box of locks recently, some I can manage with my Bangood set but a bunch of dimple locks aswel that I will get a set for.interested to try them out. Also some Assa/Ruko locks that are way ahead of my ability but I can watch the videos you and Tallan put up about them🤣 Thanks Daz, that was great

Thank you my friend, this was definitely one of those locks that i needed to understand before I could pick it. But once i worked it out it wasn’t to bad to be honest. The Assa: Ruko locks need a very balanced tension & good pick placement, if the tension is to heavy they just won’t open. Ive got a new 6 pin Ruko 2 padlock, i will do a video on it in the next week or so. Have a great week. 😎👍

Great great picking and great video my friend. That lock is a collectors item, STS don´t exist now and that lock is pretty unusual. It´s the same lock than the Tesa TK100, Tesa bougth STS and then ASSA ABLOY bougth TESA. Great job, a pleasure to watch ;o)))

You just have to love that lock. So many elements involved there and a difficult pick that you breezed through Daz. That's going to be a slow rebuild : ) EDIT: looks like if you carry on picking these locks you might need a bigger pinning tray to hold all your jigsaw pieces.

This lock was a real pleasure to pick considering just how complex the lock is, i was lucky that the bottom pins were passive. I have a Pinning tray that Matt made me a few years ago, i agree it may be time to dust it off as i still have a few more very complex locks to pick. Have a great weekend Roy. 😎👍

A very complex lock with let's say 40+ parts, but yet you managed to pick it in les than two minutes. So, the more complex pin tumbler lock does not mean more security. Maybe it's time for pin tumbler locks to give way to disks and sliders?
