Awesome! I love STS9. They were definitely one of the early influences on my own musical style. Great to see my art being put to good use! These things take frapping forever to render, but I'll be posting more fractal flames in the future. I'm looking forward to the sort of creative software that will exist when computers are fast enough to render fractal flame animations in realtime.

I found your fractal animation on Archive.org. By far one of the most visually stunning I've been able to find. Bravo 👏 And it loops so well! I'm a bit of a CS geek and have done some introductory research/read some papers about fractal animation but haven't been able to find a great resource about how to actually create them. @Baker Beltz I was curious if you had any suggestions of places to begin learning about the practice and tools for creating these types of animations. YT: MathsTown also has some great examples of colorized, animated Mandelbrot sets.

@@SoundSpliff The software I used is based on open source algorithms by Scott Draves. There are quite a few programs for both Mac and Windows that utilize them. I used a program called Oxidizer for this one, but since I made it quite a few other more user friendly programs have come out for both Mac and windows. Fractal Architect for Mac is pretty good, as is Chaotica. If you're on Windows, Apophysis is pretty good too. As long as you give attribution, I am fine with you using my other animations. I have to thank you man. After I listened to this set, KZbin recommended their performance of Artifact on 9-8-2017 at Red Rocks which has to be one of the best pieces of live music I've ever heard.

@@bakerbeltz That Red Rocks show in 2017 was fire, we were there. Bittersweet as Artifact was what first hooked me on Tribe back in 2006. This Hulaween set was underrated and the better of the two they had that weekend IMO. Hula is a magical place if you ever get a chance to go.

Glad I remember these sets for the most part. Unlike lettuce whom I also saw 3 times technically I only remember 1 of their sets. And don't get me started to n manic focus. I was totally there for the set but I don't remember a goddamn thing
