How many times have I seen this? More than I want to admit but... I get goose bumps, chills and a big smile EVERY time I watch them play these songs. 🎄🎄⛄⛄🎇🎇 MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS Kyoto Tachibana SHS Marching Band and st.taketo!!!!!!
Nice trip down memory lane 👍. Tippis xylophone playing on "the bandwagon" was superb, her enthusiasm on the maracas later on was brilliant. Nice to see Ron playing, her dimples when she plays are super kawaii. Also good to see my favourite guard on the double bass although she smiles a lot more in her guard role, that bass playing must take some concentration. Thanks for the upload 👏.
Just no question, this high school band is brilliant.

Thank you for uploading since we don't have a joint concert this year. One of the best Tachibana's event bcos we can get to see the students clearly. Anyway, that moment @12:47 was so cute haha the girl who soloed the trumpet opening for 2016 Kyoto qualification marching contest ;) I miss 114th so much!
09:30 to 12:30 :) Gotta love this. Never gets old. Thank you for another great performance Kyoto Tachibana! and Thank you St. Taketo for another quality superb video!

yep, their signature song/dance. Love the choreograph
All highways in Japan ought to have 3 lanes: 2 lanes for vehicular traffic and 1 lane reserved for when Tachibana blesses the town with its visit. That lane must be tangerine in color. Tachibana: Japan's golden ambassador to the world

Los miro siempre, gracias Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band, son parte mi vida.
That had to be Tippy on the Maraccas in the last number because of that big enthusiast smile. I never have seen this video, I love their school uniforms. The Underclassmen(ladies) are so talented!

Hello, I eventually found out watching an O-VILS Concert video that the last number is entitled " Tristeza ".
Thanks for the video, it's always a great day when I get to watch these amazing young ladies and gentlemen play. Their uplifting music and big smiles always warm the heart. I did have a question if someone could answer please, are the ones wearing the grey sweaters the seniors or something else? Thanks again for the video, I eagerly await many more.

The students in the grey waistcoats and plaid skirts are the 2017 freshmen ( class 116) the students in the darker uniforms are the junior & senior classes (114 and 115) . The school uniform changed in 2017. Class 115 have now finished performing with the band as they graduate from school soon. So from this point onwards all concerts where school uniform is worn will only have the plaid skirt / grey waistcoats (although there haven't been any concerts filmed inside the school this year as far as I'm aware - at least not uploaded to KZbin, the school seems to have changed its policy on this so you will probably only see the band in their band uniforms in future videos) You can see the uniform change clearly in the Blumen Hugel videos, pupils in the school uniforms are the freshmen each year who walk behind the band on their first official parade with the band, I've put some links below for you kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZOum5d3lM2Kh6s 2016 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKmagJ5_eLaZhdU 2017 kzbin.info/www/bejne/g16roICsnLCjgrs 2018

@@1791greg Thanks for answering the question. I've watched all the Blumen Hugel videos already lol. I watch all the videos I find, can never get enough of these amazing young ladies and gentlemen. No matter how many times I've watched them in 2018 Pasadena Rose Parade, Bandfest, and Disneyland, I still love watching them over and over, they all look relaxed and having so much fun, which is what the parade is all about. I often wonder if they watch videos of themselves performing, and see how much happiness they bring to everyone who sees them. Please say it isn't so, we NEED our videos of Tachibana!!! They definitely need to have this band videoed and not hidden away from their adoring fans.

@@ejtaylor73 Careful, this band is seriously addictive, I started a while back seeing a video that was recommended to me and have ended up watching hours and hours of their videos! It doesn't seem to matter how much I watch them, I still find it hard to believe what they can do, they are simply incredible, just mind blowing (I never seem to tire of watching them either) Someone advised me through KZbin comments to search for 京都橘 This actually helps to find videos you might otherwise miss as lots of their videos are posted with Japanese only titles (not surprising!) If you haven't already visited this site kyototachibanashsbandunofficialfanblog.wordpress.com I would highly recommend it as it answers lots of questions you might want answers to on your voyage of discovery.

@@1791greg I'll give that search a try, maybe I'll finally see a video that doesn't show already watched lol. The 1st video I watched was Rose Parade and I was hooked within a minute, and watch videos daily of them. Having been in Drum Corps, I can really appreciate how much time and effort they put into their performances, and greatly appreciate each and every one of them for doing it. I'm always amazed to see year after year they never have a lack of kids willing to put in so much hard work, especially now a days, to be a part of the greatest marching band ever.
I'm still wondering who's that xylophone player, with the short hair. Anyone know her name, please? :D

Her **nickname is Tippi (sometimes spelled Tippy or TP). She was in the band from March 2015 until January 2018 - she graduated high school in March 2018. She is one of the most talked about band members ever and even now in the comments section of new videos her name still crops up. Her constant smile and amazing energy levels won her many fans both in Japan and internationally. **Band members names are not revealed to outsiders, when new members join they are given nicknames which is how they are referred to by their band mates and teachers for their entire time in the band so you are unlikely to find out her actual name (the school is very protective of students identities). Also the comments section is moderated by the channel owner and posting a band members real name will result in your comment being deleted. Here's a link for the last public performance I'm aware of from Tippi which was shortly after graduating from high school performing with other former Tachibana band members - it's another excellent video from the St Taketo channel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipzKd4aqqZZse7s

Hello, this is part of an interview from the K.T. Un-Official Fan Blog That was conducted in 2019. " 114th Class Chippi (Percussion): Chippi ”Tippi”, the jewel of KT. Her real nickname, which has become incredibly popular on the Unofficial Fan Blog, is Chippi. “It’s the “Chip” from potato chip. Please don’t get it wrong.” After hearing her plea, people may just stop calling her Tippi from now on. The impression I had of the true Chippi when I first met her on stage and marching still hasn’t changed. She is by no means a person of many words, but her smile would never waver throughout our interview, and after our interview she actively presented new ideas to improve her group’s training and led everyone with an air of leadership around her. " " Chippi = chip (from potato chip) + tch ( from " Lilo & Stitch ") + pi ( from pink) " " Chiptchpi "
