Nach dem Krieg wollte meine Familie nach Kanada auswandern auswandern. Doch weil es wirtschaftlich hier bergauf ging, wurde der Plan verworfen. Beim Hören dieses Liedes, muss ich zugeben, dass bei mir zumindest eine Sehnsucht zum Bergsteigen in den "Rockies" aufkommt. Die scheinen mir so unendlich großzügig und wohltuend einsam zu sein. Hier kletterten wir nur in den Dolomiten (auch großartig). Was so ein melodisches Lied doch auslösen kann.
