The only way to fix this is to go tennis rules. VAR checks at at the discretion of the captains. 3 per half or you go with the on-field decision. It's fair and it's decisive.

Referee was an absolute shite bag for disallowing Motherwells 3rd goal. It’s been happening for years, referees are afraid to give decisions against the old firm because they know that if they do then it is talked about in the media. This decision against Motherwell will long be forgotten about soon, Willie Column will not come out and say that they made a mistake, there will be no post mortem on this BUT if this decision involved Celtic or rangers it would be talked about for weeks and given so much attention, it would be the main feature for Willie Column to talk about. Scottish football is corrupt.

The gulf between referees and football players/ managers and fans is at an all time low in Scotland. VAR has made refereeing in Scotland worse. In my opinion referees are relying on VAR and are happy for it to make decisions for them. Too many cooks spoil the broth is a saying and it's true. Football laws are subjective. Most are. There is a total lack of understanding by the referees of what a referee sees and what players and managers see. There is a huge gulf. Its leading or has lead to total frustration in the football ferternity. Even VAR has laws where they cannot look at certain incidents because of set criteria. Absolute nonsense. Everything should be looked at by VAR. Every thing is scrutinized and this hasnt improved relationships within football. The gulf of understanding the football laws between referees and footballers is at all time low. Referees have to be better and stronger . They need to have an understanding of the game Many dont. Footballers and managers should also take some of the flak. There is too much cheating. This is caused by weak and poor efereeing. They get away with it. Referees need to have strong personality. Many dont know how to man manage. Mamagers and players have no respect mostly . I watch many gamees in the SPL and i despair at the performances of referees and the attitude of football teams. Where will this lead i dont know? At the moment all i see untill the end of the season is more of the same. The beautiful game is beginning to be a hard watch !!!!
