This is absolutely insane. I had this movie as a kid but forgot all about it. I was doing laundry today and for some reason I decided to stop and watch the water and soap empty into the machine. As I was watching the water, it triggered a memory that was buried in my brain that I forgot about. I remembered this scene. Poor Stuart being thrown in the washing machine by accident on his first day with the Little family, luckily Eleanor noticed and rushed to save him. Though Stuart ended up catching a cold from swimming in that cold running water full of detergent inside and having to unintentionally swallow it whilst trapped in the washing machine. But gladly Stuart got better quickly and the Littles started again, that’s a good thing.

My cat died in the dryer under similar circumstances. My mom left the dryer door open, he walked in to enjoy the warm dark, then mom came back the started the thing. Not a good way to go. Message to cat owners. Always check before starting.

My mom almost did that with one of our cats. Luckily, she saw him and got him out before the washer ran. That's when I started checking to make sure no cats were in the washer, dryer or dish washer.

My cats are never allowed in the basement so we never have to worry about that of course one of them tries to sneak his way downstairs but since he has 3 legs he can't jump and has trouble climbing and we always keep our dryer door closed so there's no way he can get inside either one

I own the exact washer and dryer set used in this scene and I can tell you that they murdered a Frigidaire Gallery front load washer and stole the control panel and they painted the dryer. It is in no way possible for a front load washer to fill the way it does in the film. Also the water level in my washer is only up to the bottom of the door. This machine also has a door lock and it can't be opened until the washer is paused and the drum stops spinning. Every part of the washer in the film is fake except the control panel.

@@timdaugherty4014 The Dream Was Terrifying, I Wasn't Stuart But I Was Still Small, In fact, I Was Smaller Then Stuart, By That I Mean Like A Centimeter Tall, I Was Put In The Washer By The Mom From This Movie And She Couldn't Hear My Screams And Cries For Help, Fortunately I Survived Though, George And The Other Characters Were Completely Absent From The Dream So The Only Person Who Could Help Me Was The Mom, My Plan Was To Go To Her And Try To Wake Her Up When She Was Sleeping Since I Was Scared I Would Get Hurt If I Went To Her While She Was Awake And Active, I Climbed To The Bed And Climbed On Her Cheek To Try To Open Her Eyes, At First I Couldn't Really Tell If It Was Her Since It Was Dark But I Saw The Mole On Her Cheek So I Knew It Was Her, I Did Wake Her Up Eventually Except When She Got Up, I Slipped And Fell Down Into Her Mouth And Was Swallowed Since I Failed To Open Her Lips Up And Jump Out Due To Being So Small, One Of My Scariest Dreams I Had When I Was Little
