What an outstanding actor, and a true treasure to the entertainment industry. What I will miss about Stuart Margolin will be his simplest approach to acting. May he RIP.

Some of the most memorable episodes of the Rockford Files were without doubt those with Stuart`s character Angel . who added a special dimension to the show .The fact that his appearances were limited to six per series actually made them even more special . Certainly a man of many talents .

Stuart Margolin should've been in every episode of The Rockford Files. He was a terrific actor. I loved how Angel would piss off Jim. Evelyn Angel Martin is one of my all time favorite tv characters right up there with Rockford, Kojak, McGarrett, Bunker, and Frank Cannon. RIP Angel🙏

Frank Cannon was a bad ass. That guy could move. Kojak was all talk no action. Angel Martin was unique. Him and Robert Webber on "Rockford?" They were the best. For a 70's kid like me to reflect on that era and the energy that the grown-ups brought, those detective shows were mostly lame it's true. But "Rockford" goes beyond great characters and stories. It was how the 70's really looked, and the rythmns and idiosyncratic ideas and appearances of the people so accurately represented that make me so fucking nostalgic. But that time wasn't halcyon and pretty perfect. That's what I miss.

Stuart is an excellent actor. I have enjoyed his performances in so many different movies & tv programs. He won 2 Emmys for his work on Rockford Files. I would love to see him interviewed for the Archive of American television. Stuart Margolin is certainly an Emmy tv legend.

the very last thing he said about angel was what really made the character so unique and special...despite all his flaws, you just cannot help but love the guy. the reason he was rockford's friend was that. rockford was well aware of angel's slimy ways, but he always forgives him and the audience always forgives him because he's just so lovable. rockford would get mad at him sometimes (and rightfully so) but he could never stay mad at him.

In addition to Stuart's acting skills and the great chemistry between Garner and Margolin, we should also credit the Rockford series writers who gave characters snappy and amusing dialougue, and who devised interesting and often hilarious situations which brought Angel to us.

Holy cow! I was thinking how youthful and healthy the great Stuart Margolin looked in this clip - then I saw that it was recorded in 1989 - when Margolin celebrated his 49th birthday. So, kind of a let down.

Angel was sort of Jim's friend. He was always making Jim mad by weaseling out and betraying him.
