For those in the states that need some good spray paint, check out Duplicolor automotive paints. They can be had at any auto part store and come in a range of colors and applications, most being good at resistant to oils and fluids

Car wax does a pretty good job of keeping bare metal from rusting. Thanks for the vids

If I remember correctly, you said you use Humbrol Paints. (I hope I spelled that right.) I still have several tins of this brand in my collection of paints. I think the model distribution company called Walthers still sells it here in the US.

The big beam engine in the, is it the London pumpworks? Imagine how hard it was to get that engine aligned so that it runs so well after 100 years.

We have 70 psi steam at work , mostly for heating but in case of emergency we can run 60 year old steam turbines to pump feed water. Ever seen a model of a steam powered turbine feed pump ?

If seeing the colour on the internet is close to in real time, British Racing Green is a slight bit darker than BR Loco Green.

The engine is coming along nicely Keith, But, (Anal monologue coming up ) I notice you didn,t remove the original scribing lines for the bar at 6.12 min, is this to keep a bit of the original build patina, have now removed 200x strength glasses, looking forward to the end result, thank you for all great video,s and humour regards Doc Cox.
