Nothing Else Matters Solo Bass Arrangement

This is a solo bass arrangement of the Metallica song 'Nothing Else Matters'. It was originally intended to be part of my book 'Solo Arrangements for Electric Bass', but was not included as I couldn't secure the copyright permission in time. This was played on my Zon Sonus bass, through a TC Electronic RH450 amp.

Hi, thanks for the nice comment! :D I can play almost fluidly until the minute 3:28: that tapping part is soo hard, and it sounds really bad when I do it. All the tapping parts in generale sound like I'm smashin some metallic stuff together ... I don't know, doesn't feels as good as when you play it. Do you have any advice on how to perform the tapping parts of the song? Thank you!

I argue with my 16 year old nephew about whether SOME (key word some) rap is music or not. I ask, "Ok, since it's music, what key is it in? Other than the percussion parts it can't be written on a staff. Real music can be written, it has a key, sharps, and flats etc. From Mozart to Metallica a G is a G, and a E is a E."

I think I have watched this retelling of every couple of months for the past decade this has been uploaded. Ofc I have indeed downloaded the offered sheet music, and got quite good at playing this piece, though life amd fatherhood get in the way and I don't practice like I should

Great job!! I have two Zon's. They are my favorites along with my Modulus. Was your Sonus a custom build or did you find it at a store that way? BTW - you probably Jason N. used a Zon Legacy fretless to record "Until it Sleeps". Jason also owned a Zon Sonus but sold it at a store in Florida (he gave a shop there a bunch of basses to sell & his Sonus was one of them). Cheers!
