Fyi: main reason I did that is because slightly better prices for timtams are literally the only thing Boris has offered us as a net benefit of brexit this year, which can be torn apart immediately just by going "but what if I don't like them?" They're not even trying to pretend this is anything other than a complete disaster anymore

I know this show looks weird from the inside, but from where I'm watching (Europe) this is possibly the best British comedy series ever made. Bravo to all involved, fantastic work.

The worst thing about the show is they'll bring back spinoffs, that ended perfectly, fine on their own. Like do we need a sequel to the Troubles, I thought the Good Friday 2 part finale, wrapped things up perfectly?

They're putting out adverts to say we need to get ready for Brexit but then if you go on their page about getting ready for Brexit it has no information. It's like the writers don't even know what is going to happen and they're just making it up as they go along. Also I think that game of thrones had a better ending, at least some characters we hate got killed off.

I'm a huge fan but also an australia. Timtams are an Australian icon. You can make fun of Vegemite if you like, its an acquired taste. You can also make fun of home and away and neighbours all you like. Its shot tv that we only make because British people like it, but you should never, ever insult the humble timtam! Stick em in ya gob, bite both ends off and use it as a straw to drink your coffee. Its glorious! The timtam is Australia's gift to humanity mate.

The Brexit saga has mostly concluded. The writers relegated it to a subplot as part of the COVID-19 saga. Though word is Boris Johnson will be written out as the main character in a season or two

I have to admit people are missing the point with this show. The actual show is a dour black comedy-satire showing the flameout decline of a dysfunctional government. There may be so many episodes that watching it can be cumbersome but God when it gets it right it’s so tragically hilarious and is so much more layered than something like The Thick of It. This is me in real life: I’m sorry Armando Iannucci please forgive me.

A small upside of this show’s continued existence for me is that I got work as an extra, playing a poll clerk in two of the polling station scenes. They were long days, but I got paid quite nicely for it.

I guess there's one upside to the show's committment to realism in organizing full-day shoots for a few background shots, which is decently paid jobs for the extras. (No offense intended there, just an observation that you are likely not the focus of the story at hand.)
