I was around a lot of horses as a child and well into my teens (I am now 61 and more or less homebound due to disability). I always wanted to own a horse - but that dream was never meant to be. I'll always love horses and I do miss being around them, riding them, and just admiring them. KZbin helps a lot - especially your channel since what helped me find it is my love for Friesian horses (I also love Arabian horses - that's my sister's influence). New foals have always captured my heart - they are so full of life, curiosity, and energy (unless they are napping, lol). Their muzzles are like velvet - and it takes them a while before they stop startling with your every movement - so just as they brush their muzzle across your hand just a slight movement or sound will send them away, lol! This guy surprised me at how bold he seems to be at only four days old! The foals I've been around were not quite this bold - but always curious and wanting to be. I guess it does help to put yourself at their level - which I never did. I was too afraid of Mom horse to make myself that small, lol! Thanks for another great video - it helps satisfy that yearning to be around horses again :)

Debi Wells, I feel much like you. I am 67 and remember when I was sixteen and my father bought us a horse and also a pony that pulled a little red cart. Oh, we had so much fun. Now, watching the Fresian horses soothes my soul. Yvonne and the other caregivers are all so sweet to the horses. What fun to watch them!

Rinse Janko loves you … what a sweetheart he is, such a nice personality. Richtsje is very friendly too. Like mother, like son. They are beautiful. That’s interesting about the Friesian flag and symbols … it looks lovely, and I did think they were hearts, but we just put some water lilies in our pond so the shape is definitely the same. Richtsje is the perfect mom. She loves her little boy so much … giving him the occasional kiss and nestling his fur .., so sweet. Love seeing them frolic together. Richtsje has a lot to be proud of. I think Rinse Janko is very smart, he’s just enjoying being outside .., he’s a definite cutie.

I never self-pity I have MS and I've had a beautiful life. Is so beautiful for me to have your world in my living room especially during the pandemic. I have face so much isolation. The beauty that tranquility, the memories, although they're not quite as the vast and beautiful as your land is. We used to ride our horses and pick peaches and apples through the Orchards. I think it is sign that horses and even new born foals feel very safe and comfy there. In wilderness it would be different. Near my village living a small herd of hucul horses. They live half-wild style, during day, they are more or less on their own in forests and for night they come down to their stall which is just primitive shed. They living there whole year and their foals dont move from their mothers more than few meters away under any circumstances. Also their mothers are muuuch more protective, they wouldn allow anybody to come around their foals. But its normal, they are living in environment where they have to be able to deal with bears, wolves, lynxes etc.

I love to visit this beautiful family where the horses are treated like beloved children and there is always room for one more new baby,. and every day someone is doing something interesting or dramatic..I have learned that all of the horses are named after their human “aunties” and “uncles”!! I was a bit confused about the names for a while until Yvonne explained it during a trail ride. She told us that there had even been a mare named Yvonne, but she had been sold to a new home. That is the sad part, having to part with family members eventually, and they are always remembered and missed.. However the horses are highly prized and valued and we know that someone who will purchase a Stal G horse for thousands of $$, will love and take very good care of them. i am looking forward to the day when Yvonne returns home. There will rejoicing and celebrations, from 🇺🇸 🌲🌲🌲💕 WA State 😎🙏

One cute, cheeky foal 😍😂😍😂! He definitely seems to be taking after his daddy, Teun 505, and his older half sisters Mathilde and Sanne - obviously trying to be independent at a young age 😂😂😂. Richtsje is such a good mummy to him, and obviously loves you too, wanting fuss and attention 😍😍😍. Rinse Janko takes after his mummy in that respect, but also seems to be trying to use you as a climbing frame 😂😂😂. I have a question if you know the answer. Why do they inseminate the mares instead of doing it the natural way? Also, how do they get the semen out of the stallion? I kinda wish they would do it naturally. Not meaning any criticism of them though. Just curious if you know the answer.

@@kimberlyearly8918 Doing it the natural way means a risk of injury, if either of the horses kicks the other. They don't know each other, and might fight; or at least try to determine who is dominant, as happens when a new horse is introduced. Bringing all the mares to the best stallions would be a lot of work, travel, and stress, as well as harder to get the timing right unless the mares get boarded at the stallion's stable for weeks or longer, until they are in season and the stallion has time for them. Those stables would not have room for all the mares who get inseminated by the best stallions; so the price would go up and many owners of mares would have to choose a (slightly) less optimal stallion for their mare. Getting the stallion to travel around to all the mares' stables would create an even bigger problem with the timing.
