Dear all. Thank you for your comments and emails. This Video is only a time lapse which originally made to simply be a reminder for some students we already trained and was not meant to reach so many views. On a previous comment I mentioned that due to a very high demand I will release online courses with many videos explaining all the secrets and techniques to obtain this Stucco Lustro finish and many other ones. We offer training courses in our studio / workshop in Berkeley UK but many of you are far away and asked me if it was possible to provide high quality online courses. I understand it plainly as most of the videos on youtube won't deliver enough information and image quality.. As this current Stucco Lustro video and the other ones of my Channel ! Something better had to be done and....Well...We are almost there and the first videos will be released on a dedicated website in February ! It will have took some time to settle online courses because I wanted to offer the highest quality in terms of filming, editing and course contents for you to really have the best learning experience and really learn something. These online courses will teach you all you need to know about : - General techniques and secrets of the trades form the basics to more advanced ( ho to make corners, masking tapes etc..) - Bespoke finishes in: polished plaster , microcement, metallic from the prep to the completion with all steps and details and materials used - Secret recipes : How to make your marmorino from scratch, how to make different waxes yourself, mix your pigments and many other 'recipes'.. The courses will be able to viewed on streaming or downloadable at very affordable prices. I will of course let you know on this channel when the first videos will be launched and probably offer a pre booking at a 40% discount for the first 200 students for each videos. I would also be more than happy to have your comments and feedback about this and also any suggestions of specific courses ( for e:g how to obtain a lustro in different tones ; how to obtain a textured natural polished plaster). Can you apply the Venetian plaster over the all purpose compound

Hi Andrew. You probably could if the compound is left gritty. A good compound is the Eco mortar R50 or R100 from St Astier. When the polished plaster is 100% natural you can also use a background which is lime based, or brick, stone etc.. Which is Ideal. You would then have to work first with larger aggregates first the finer as you go. For modern walls a primer will be required. Then a first base coat of lime plater and the following finishing coat of polished plaster.

This video is only a time lapse to show a particular finish , but as I have had a lot of demands to give more explanations about the process of application and because many people are far from England for being trained, I am launching very soon a series of tutorial videos and online training. There will be videos of different application techniques with commercial polished plaster but also natural ones. How to make your own natural polished plaster, how to make different waxes ( solvent, saponified , with egg yolk etc..) how to mix pigments, create different effects and different mixed tones polished plaster, tadelakt , cocciopesto etc..

Es verdad se le echa agua yo lo hago así y me da ese brillo pero el secreto está en que se tiene que quemar el estuco en húmedo o recién echado sin dejar que seque al mismo tiempo echas al mismo tiempo quemas y rocías agua y de allí el brilló y luego cera y no veas el resultado es fenomenal

Si es solo agua, como se pule casi fresco es solo para poder dar el brillo, con las llanas o espatulas. Y un trapo humedo para limpiar las herremientas

parri111 Thanks. For this particular finish it is the same colour. The burnishing darken some areas and give the depth. On another video I use 2 different tones of colours. For the Spatulas of this size I am not sure that you can get it in Germany. You can contact us through our website. Cheers

As the material is compressed with the venetian trowel, the pigment in some areas gets concentrated more than in others. This creates the darker spots.

Looks to be a ready made stucco and id imagine they will be putting on in layers spaced a few hours apart looks to be one colour with first layer being applied lightly to appear lighter

Je ne sais pas ce qu'il y a dedans mais moi avec 2 V chaux +1 V marbre +1 V talc je n'arrive pas a faire briller autant. Et là j'ai fait une grosse bêtise j'ai trop mis de methylcellulose et ça ne sèche pas et n'arrête pas de rendre de l'eau. Cela marchait mieux sans methyl ais même a 50/50 de chaux et marbre c'est très doux mais pas brillant. Du coup je ne sais pas comment je vais faire pour la salle de bains car le methyl empêche de sécher uniformement donc dur de serrer sauf cm par cm. Vous auriez un conseil svp? Merci

Bonjour. Beaucoup de parametres sont a prendre en compte. La chaux est elle en poudre rehydratee ? chaux en pate CL90 s-PL ? Les proportions de methyl sont importantes... Trop et c'est trop collant ! 20 % de la poudre de marbre ( en poids ) rendra le stuc plus brillant. Utiliser de l'eau de chaux avec un spray, quand le stuc carbonate, apportera plus de brillant egalement. Je suis en train d'editer des videos explicative pour realiser des stuc naturels et elles seront disponibles en telechargement en Avril ou Mai

Cool, sinon chaux en poudre CL90. Le methyl j'en mets plus là, mais je vais devoir en remettre car j'ai de grand murs a faire. Oui j'en avais mis 10 fois la dose lol! Ah je ne pensais pas qu'en mettant moins de poudre de marbre ça brillerait plus, je vais vous écouter car je mettais 50/50 en doses mais le marbre est 3x plus lourd que la chaux. Je vais aussi vous écouter pour l'eau de chaux demain sur le sol de la douche, mais pas trop car ils vont se casser la figure mes locataires lol! Un grand merci
