Excellent video Peter, best half hour of my week so far. I did this one twelve years earlier, almost to the day, 4th May 2002. It's pretty much how I remember it, although I don't recall sliding down on my arse chasing my camera! Stay safe mate... :-)

Great video mate. I did Ben Donich last week after watching your vid. Your Ben Nevis video is outstanding, hope to do the same climb myself one day.

Great walk Peter and that view at 16.40 is amazing and the 360 view at the top, what a lucky man you are my friend.:) Thanks for taking us along Peter.
@MUNROSnCORBETTS10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Terry, I had a wee dose of the jelly legs when i took that view at 16:40! I was lucky with the weather it was pissing down driving up from Glasgow, I met two people just coming down just after i started and they saw nothing from the summit. Big pity that as the view was brilliant, Cheers Terry, peter.

Hi Peter, myself & my mate tried this one once but the weather was to bad to finish it, nice to see it in visible weather lol, a like nice big lobg ridges, gives you a wee break lol, stunning views,
@MUNROSnCORBETTS10 жыл бұрын
Hi Derek, Aye the ridges did give me a welcome break after the steep climb up the rocky path. I was lucky to with the weather as it was bucketing down on the road up. Cheers mate, peter.

Nice one Peter and great to hear you out of breath at 6.00. If that was me I'd on my back by now permanently having a blaw lol! Nice wee slide doon though, F***king camera! Interesting to see the of snow packed in on the ridges. Its been a milder winter but a lot of snow in the hills this year. Some of that might last through into next winter. Stunning views up there, nice 360 pan. Love the Glen Lyon area.

Hiya Sinclair cheers for watching mate, Aye the Glen Lyon area is cracking i was first up there about 4 weeks ago and had to stop climbing as the snow was really bad. I used my sat-nav to find the way back to killin, but it was programmed to find the quickest route(not the way i came up over the Ben Lawers road) and it took me on a hell of a pot holled road back to Loch Lyon and away down to the river Lochay. I bumped into a group of guys working for the waterboard and they said i was about 10 miles in the wrong direction LOL!

Butterfingers lol . Same thing happened to me last year on Carn Aosda, dropped my sat map and watched it roll all the way back down to the A93 made this supposedly easy Munro twice as hard lol. Great video Peter with stunning views. Look forward to the next one bud. Atb. Mick.

Funny that as Carn Aosda turned out to be a nightmare for me too, was -3 at the carpark, god knows what it was at the summit as the wind was bloody freezing! So much for Scotlands easiest munro eh? Thanks for watching Mick, take care mate.

Nice to experience part of the action man! By the way, apart from using your backside and throwing the camera around, you didn't use crampons & axe? Sometimes one can't find the brakes when sliding down, you know ... Anyway, good to hear you huffing & puffing as soon as I did. :-) Yes, the first (and last) part of the route is somewhat steep :-) Did this one in 2013 on May 20th and for sure: more off the white stuff that time. This year I'll be back on the Munros by may the 24th (four weeks of M-bagging on my mind). First basecamp in Glen Lyon, for the warming up. My preference: no snow by then. There's one thing where Sinclair Fergus Smith is absolutely right: the Glen Lyon area is marvellous. Be advised: do give the Carn Mairg Circuit from Invervar a try, further down the glen!!

Hi Wilco how are you and Ernie? I was there 5 weeks ago with crampons and ice axe but it looked to dangerous, I had a wee look before i started climbing and left them in the car this time. Aye Sinclair is right Glen Lyon is beautiful, Glad you are coming back again this year, Is Ernie coming too? Take care Wilco and good luck in may, peter.
@WilcodeJonge10 жыл бұрын
***** Doing fine Peter, though the countryside over here is too flat for our liking (each weekend we're covering distance instead of ascent). Ernie & I will be back in august; in may/june I will be 'solo'. In the mean time I'm trying to re-educate my wife driving the old campervan ... to pick me up after doing the South Shiel ridge. :-)

Hi Peter great stuff,i looking for places to summit camp do you think that's good for an akto? Great views from summit i've been feeling rundown for several weeks but i hope to get energised soon.That slide looked like fun but i think 15ft is fine 700ft not so good.I catch you for the next one,Eddie.
@MUNROSnCORBETTS10 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, yes i think it would be good for an Akto Eddie lots of space up there. Aye the wee slide was fun until i felt my a*se was soaking wet, 10 min later it was freezing! Sorry your feeling a wee bit low mate, no doubt a dose Loch Doon will change that big man. All the best Eddie, peter.
