Day 16
So after the Police stopped us from going further we found a decent hotel and stayed in joshimath untill further news. We were very sad that we could not go further
to badrinath. Badrinath is just 45kms from joshimath. There were lots and lots of lanslides and the rain was expected even more. All the hotel rooms were boooked and we had to
search a lot.
Finally we got a decent hotel.

As it was raining a lot and we could not visit any of the near by places. Also it was very cold at that time.
All we could do is stay in room and go to eat nearby. There was also power cut the entire day just after we booked the rooms.
Day 17
Rain got a bit lighter but still there were no power. Here in Joshimath there is all varietyof food. After entering Uttarakhand, this was the First place were we could
get nonveg to eat. There are even some restaurants here which have generators and we can charge our mobiles on request.
There was to much chaos and people were stuck here, Rooms were full and it was raining a lot. At this time we decided that we should checkout from one room and
stay in a single to help people get a shelter.
Power just came for couple of hours and went out again. It was a very difficult and frustrating time. But somehow we finf ways to enjoy even in such
circumstances. And believe me this rest was needed.
Day 18
Still no signs of Power and stopping of rain. I got up early and took my bike to the location where the police were stoping the vehicles to go further.
OH god it was so cold and it that it was raining. Difficult situation to ride a bike. A took some tea near the bandobast spot and enjoyed the view for sometime.
It was a bit relaxing to get out and ride bike after two days. I again went back to our room and slept. We even did spot jumps in the room as it was so cold.
and we could not resist the chills. Around 1 we went out to have lunch when the rain got a bit light. We had delicious hot food. Hot Tea to start wuth was so muh relaxing.
And then to continue we had delicious hot momos, Parathas, Omlette. After 3days we were eating great food. It was very satisfying.
After our lunch we just roam in the market and passed some time. The rain was almost gone and there were signs of some sunlight. We got excited and went on a rooftop.
There we witnessed something I had never imagined. Rainbows forming in front of our eyes, one after another. There were so many rainbows and it was just so beautiful.
the sky was clear and the sunlight was just amazing to feel. We got enthusiastic and hoped that the next day we will be able to visit badrinath temple.
Day 19
We got all geared up and straight away went towards badrinath, and still the roads were not open, It was very dissapointing. We decided to wait till eve if the roads
open and so we to Narsingh Mandir. Narsingh Temple in Joshimath
Narsingh Temple is the place where Badrivishal rest during winters. The idol of Badrinath temple is taken down to Narsingh Temple by the priests of Badrinath
during winters.Badrinath idol is then placed along with Narsingh idol.
After exploring here, we again tried to go to badrinath but no luck, Also the weather was getting bad once again and if it would rain again then for 2days again
we could not go to badrinath. Our leave period was getting over, so we decided to leave for Kedarnath. We left joshimath around 5.30pm which was very worst decision
and the scariest ride of my entire life.
