I needed this reminder. It's not my job to think for the members on my team. The NMA program is so good! Thanks Mak!

Brilliant video just went through this situation at a previous role. The one thing I would add is that sometimes you can do all of these things and it's just not the right fit team wise.

Your videos have been super helpful as a, now, 2nd year manager. I’ve been battling two sets of stressors simultaneously and wondering if you can help those who are like me. I’m stuck in the middle of disgruntled employees who do the bare minimum to keep their job and leadership who doesn’t provide resources for these employees to be supported, appreciated and heard? I’ve tried to build rapport and I believe the team respects me, it’s just my team does just the bare requirements and aren’t self starters for that very reason. Help!

Great video to come out in the summer. I'm still so new. The people above have given me amazing feedback. Yet, the people I lead seem to crumble at every decision point and hurdle.

Sounds like you need to get feedback from your employees in how you can be a supportive manager. Be sure to relay to the team that whatever they say will not be held against them and you can brainstorm ways to be beneficial to each other. All you ask is for respect that will be given both ways and a open mind for a solution. They are learning to trust someone new and you have no idea what their relationship was like with their previous manager
