@@raymondrace4837 I roll them tight as possible place a ratchet strap around them, place them in my storage compartment. It's best to use two straps on each two will roll up pretty tight together or each individually depending on how much storage you have. Having gotten some military vehicles stuck in the mud🤪, I keep telling myself "as soon as the wheels spin" lift the wheels. It takes more time, but jamming something in has never worked. I've only gone deeper. A 10 ton strap is a great idea and lighter than a chain. A note to the safety supervisor; keep people out of the strike zone of the strap/chain in case something snaps.

Suggestion: try carpet instead of wood. The problem with wood or blocks is the tire has to be able to climb on to them and wood gets slick when wet. Dig out behind the tires and lay a piece of carpet in the trench. The tire may pull the carpet under itself and give you traction. If the carpet moves too much try staking it in place. We use carpet when stuck in snow or ice ruts. Carpet is cheap and easy to store. Travel and camp safe.

While moochdocking at my aunt's, we had to back our trailer onto plywood bc it was just sinking in the dirt and we couldn't level. The plywood distributed the weight and we were able to pull up onto levelers too, and when we left after days of rain, we were able to get out. Maybe in the future, when pulling into a questionable site, if you pull all your wheels onto wood, you'd have the traction you need when it's time to leave. We got lucky bc my aunt had wood to spare but that's on our list to get before our next outing.

It is easy to get one stuck, once the tires spin you are done. As you learned, before you dig a deep hole. Jack the wheels up and put something under them so you can get enough traction to get moving. I have found most anything will work. I got our 40X class A stuck, I learned an expensive lesson, after spinning the tires, (less than what yall did), our rearend was damaged. I had to get a wrecker and pay $3400 for a rearend repair. Glad it didnt happen to you. Totally enjoy your journey.

When we lifted the backend with the jacks we were really close to shoving the front end in to the ground. It was very unnerving!

Get a Yankum rope (Yankum.com) and carry it with you, that F250 could have pulled you out. Watch Matt's recovery channel on KZbin and see how it is used. Glad to see everyone come together and glad nothing or no one hurt. Hope to see you on the road.
