Getting to the nether is going to be a real step-up once you can get there. Food sources, renewable wood, and of course potions, which means villagers, which means wandering traders are useful.... lots of things you can do in this challenge, I hope it continues!

Another way to extend your block placement reach in a pinch without expending them would be to use torches from that slabbed stair room. You can place the torch on the nearest edge from what you want to reach and place a block on the far side of the torch's small hitbox. The block ends up in a place that would have taken two blocks to reach, *and* the torch can be easily picked back up to do it again.

23:37 I just realized that by using this method, you could spread the water out underneath the stronghold ever so slight to make it easier when recovering from falls (instead of having to dive for one small area at the center of the fountain). It might be tedious work, but it could be worth it if it saves you in the future.

I'm glad you liked it! I think the reason it didn't get many views is because I split it into 3 parts and it was on hardcore mode (which meant i had to restart if i died) + progression was very slow

How did you get the doors?! The only single one I got was the one next to the stairs.. P.S. If you want the cobblestone generator to work, you have to stand where the water is flowing. See how the water is pushing the cobblestone in a certain direction? You just have to stand there

There's actually five doors that are accessible. The stair one, the one outside the portal room, the one next to the fountain, and two further ones. You have to break the stone blocks though to get them (except the stair one). And yeah I realised my mistake on the generator haha. In the next part it's much better. Sorry for the late reply btw

Loving this so far! Going after spiders is a good idea, and now that you have a crafting table making bone blocks would be good. If you're available to build a mob grinder you can collect any iron armor they drop and smelt them into nuggets, it'll be slow but combined with the chance for zombies to drop iron I'm sure you'll get a bucket in no time. Also think you might be able to smelt iron bars into nuggets, but you might want to save them.

Smelting the armour is a good idea. I was going to use the mob grinder for rotten flesh and string but I'll definitely do that as well.

At the start of the challenge, why would you not bridge one block, and only think about putting it down to get 1 block of elevation?? horizontal movement is better than vertical movement for reaching places.

im not an expert, but I recommend make videos you enjoy making, and people will feel that vibe when they watch it. so dont make it forced if that makes sense. and even if your videos dont perform well, at least you had fun

yeah youre completely right about that. I think it was a big mistake to start this off in hardcore mode because dying is super annoying and a lot progress is lost. In future challenges I'm not gonna do it in hardcore, but for this specific challenge I can't really change it now. so I apologise for that
