Thank you so much! I didn’t use a diffusion filter on this one, but I used haze while filming to soften the image. Sharpening was at -3 and NR at -4. 🙂

Hello friend, first of all, I was really impressed by your shots. I have x-s20. I want to buy a 35mm f1.4 lens just to get this quality. I'm new to video, this will be my first prime lens. All I want is to create cinematic images. Would you recommend the 35mm f1.4 for that? I will use it entirely while shooting short films. If you were to buy a lens, which one would it be?

Thank you so much! The 35mm 1.4 is by far my favourite Fuji lens among the ones I own. The autofocus isn’t very good, which is something to keep in mind (especially if you are new in the video world), but I mostly shoot in manual mode so it doesn’t bug me. Also keep in mind that there are a lot of other factors like lighting, composition, and colour grading that play a really important role when it comes to creating a cinematic look on your videos. 🙂👌🏼
