@@gideonowusu933 Hi Gideon, I submitted all the documents on 13 Jan and got my conditional offer on 18 Jan. Then they asked me to send my certified hard copy of diploma.

With the issue of submitting the hardcopies, is it that you are to submit it to student services on the day you reporting or to send it via post? What course did you apply to though if you don't mind? (would love to make a new friend even before I get there in September Godwilling)

Hi Laura! I'll be in Maastricht for my erasmus next spring, i heard from a lot of people that finding a house is really hard. Would you mind me asking how did you find a place? And maybe a couple advises about it. Great video btw!!

Hi Elif ! Congrats for your Erasmus, Maastricht is a great place to do one I think :) During non covid times, finding a place was pretty hard indeed because the housing market here is overcrowded! During covid it's way easier to find one as some people decided to leave. I am not sure how the situation will be when you arrive but to find an accomodation the easiest way is through FB groups ! There are many on which you can find offers, but be careful sometimes there are scams ! Good luck with everything :)

Hi Esther thanks for your comment ! It's really easy: you take the train from Brussels Central to Liège Guillemins (it's 55 min long and there is one every hour 33). There you have a correspondence of like 10 minutes to take the train from Liège Guillemins to Maastricht (30 minutes by train) and that's it ! I recommend you to take an SNCB campus subscription between Brussels and Maastricht, you will save some money (only 3,6€ per traject with the campus) hope this helps ! ☀️

Indeed a lot of students do that but if you come from Mexico and have therefore a visa I am not sure it's that easy. That's something you need to check within the regulations of your visa application :) hope this helps!

Je ne connais pas trop le process pour médecine mais je ne pense pas qu'il faut avoir fait un an à l'étranger, en tout cas dans ma faculté ce n'est pas le cas et je ne vois pas pourquoi ce serait le cas pour médecine (mais je peux me tromper!) 🌞 Le seul truc important c'est que tu dois bien maîtriser l'anglais je pense ! Hésite pas si tu as d'autres questions! Bonne chance 😊

Hi Michelle ! To be confirmed with Maastricht University but I assume there is no limit on how many times you can apply to a programme 😊 I I actually don't see the purpose of doing that for them besides loosing some good students ^^

Hey Laura, Loved the video, I actually will be traveling to Maastricht in the month of September for my exchange semester. I wanted to understand the block period of classes. Are there classes throughout the week or could we opt for classes that are conducted only in the first half of the week and have online tutorials. I was planning to travel all across Europe and having the latter part of the week free would really help in that quest. TIA!!

Hi Kunal, thanks a lot for your comment ! Cool to hear that you will be travelling to Maastricht soon ! So there are 6 block periods that basically consist of 8 weeks of classes and exams at the end. During each block you will normally have 2 courses (at least in master) accounting for 8 hours in total per week ! It doesn't sound a lot but trust me the individual and preparation work upfront is high enough so you won't get bored :) Regarding the schedule, it really varies a lot so I can't tell you for sure that it will be the way you want it. However, I think that if you choose the option to do everything online (providing that it will still exist but I am quite sure it will) then you have the guarantee to be able to travel across Europe. I did a bachelor in Brussels in Business Administration :) Regarding preparation, Maastricht offers a premaster of 6 months if they consider that you don't fit their admission criterias right away ! I didn't have to pay any handling fee to apply for my Master Programme no (which is not the case for all dutch universities), but I double checked on Maastricht website and it is stated that you need to pay 100 euros if you're a non EU prospective student (there are some exceptions) 😊 Here is the link if you're interested : www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/support/your-studies-begin/tuition-fees/handling-fee

@@lauraknp Your camera shows an overlay called 'zebra overexposure warning stripes', striping areas that are too bright. It is an aid for you hile you are recording. Somehow you managed to get that overlay into your final upload. See for example the sky at 01:16.

Yes exactly I'm filming with a Gopro5 hero black and everytime there is a little bit of sky/sun or just brightness, stripes are appearing on the screen but I don't always manage to remove them right away and I have no idea how to do that in post production :) do you ?

@@lauraknp If you transfer the recording from the SD, the stripes should not be in there. Ore are part of metadata that can be removed. No matter how overexposed or underexposed the recording is.

Regarding the study permit I honestly have no idea but Maastricht has a student service centre that you can contact to have more information on this matter. Hi ! To be honest it really varies on the period because right now for instance I have my thesis, an internship and courses so I study less but still work a lot ! But in the first periods, I studied like 7-8h per day (maybe I'm not an example ^^) Also I wouldn't call it studying, it's more like preparing, reading and understanding than proper studying ! Hope this helps :)
