Ok. If you dont have the required validity, then you can apply from India. It will be easier than applying from Germany. But i don’t know if you can apply for new passport about one year before the expiring date. Normally we can applying just 2 or 3 months before.

During the visa processing stage. Dose the spouse in Germany need to visit the visa office along with the documents ? Or is it necessarily not required? Actually in our case the spouse in Germany got an e-Mail to submit some documents via email. We are actually curious about what may be the next steps.(Student Dependent visa category)
