The most screwed up part about this is that , when she collapsed, she was surrounded by med students who had already been trained in CPR and first aid. The dickhead instructor not only refused to help, he threatened the other students with punishment if they tried to help her. On top of *that* the school was very angry with her family for speaking about the incident, so they paid her family a very small pittance and forced them to withdraw their previous claims about the school being responsible for her death. In China, it’s being aggressively swept under the rug. The whole thing is fucked up on so many levels.

You're just going to get crushed like a bug under their feet. And your family is fair game to them too. The girl's family initially refused to accept any settlement to get justice for her but they were eventually forced to settle behind closed doors despite their want for justice because of the CCP's involvement. So if they have friends in other universities, they could very well cut off any chance of your younger siblings or cousins from attending that school. Who knows if this professor built any connections with the students he taught and his connections to their family members who could hold higher positions of power. There's no doubt there's a bunch of corruption there that he can leverage to his advantage. Humans have self-preservation, humans have self-worth, humans have an identity. If you are lacking in such self-worth preservation and identity that you willingly give up your life because it's taking the easy way out of a situation, you weren't ever human and you should not be mourned.
