My dad died when I was 8, my mom had to put me and my brother through school. She got a job at a shoe shop as a single parent for R600 a month. How times have changed. Yes I'm white... There is no privilege in poverty. Everyone is so entitled these days, it sickens me.

It is truly sickening, I am a black student myself, and the kind of entitlement that i am seeing is really embarrassing. It is even sad that our parents with the little money that they earn, these people want to start up another chain reaction that will increase tax. I mean, they will also start working soon too. They still do not see what this will mean for them in a couple of years to come. Not to forget that there is no charter that says tertiary education is basic education.

yes we taxpayers pay that then they take 7 years to do a 4 year diploma

If they fail 1st year they must be kicked out. 60% of the female students get child grants from SASSA. As a taxpayer I am sick of paying for students who dont belong there
