Hey! How did you get admission in this programme?? Actually I applied for the same course bsc biotechnology chemistry on 4 th aug. And on 5th I got a call from one mam from MCC and she asked me whether I'm interested for this course. And she asked me to pay the fees and she told me that it'll will be generated on my admission portal or you'll get an email. But I didn't receive any such information till now. And I don't know what to do now??...can you pllzz tell me is this the selection criteria for MCC?? Is this how you got admission??plzz help and let me know!

@@anaykayadav4768 nope, I think you need to go through the regular application process for any course (depending on the course you'll give your regular application and additional portfolio or interview or entrance tests). After that you can try for request letters. Admissions are ongoing already though so be quick

Every college/university has its own cons. I'm here to talk about the downsides of being a Carmelite since I see nobody else doing that. Sad that nobody online ever speaks about the negative aspects because they're equally important, if not more, for a student to assess if the college is worth their time and money. If you're a right winger, this college will be your 💫Nightmare💫. More so if you choose Humanities. Asst professors openly profess and propagate Communist/left wing ideology and naive students who have never been exposed to politics fall for it. Some lecturers even go to the extent of grading partially. There's zero transparency when it comes to elections and prize distribution for outgoing students. Some lecturers openly display favoritism. While some lecturers are top class, some have absolutely no idea what they're teaching. There have been many, many instances where I've felt like I know more than the teacher. Now, you might say that these are things that happen at every college. The catch is, this college prides itself on being better than others and in promoting free thought, liberty, diversity (all of which is given only to a certain ideological section). I literally had lecturers who would openly instigate students to go participate in protests. Where is free thought here? You're not even allowing the students to discuss pros and cons of anything. Straight up feeding a certain narrative. And secret conferences are held. There was once secret conference where only students belonging to certain communities were invited. Politicians have been brought from time to time to college to try and influence students. I kid you not, there was a secret conference on Abrogation of art 370 where students were brought in to say shit about army and government and it even reached heights of "kashmir should get freedom". While them wanting to express their opinion is fine, there was no opportunity for the other side to counter it. Politicians were brought in from inc and other parties to create fear mongering among students (statements like, you'll be thrown out of India etc were made which isn't factually right in any way). And infrastructure? You won't even find proper water supply in washrooms of certain blocks. None, literally none of my batchmates came back to this college after graduating. And most classmates of mine still hate this college. A lot of us feel we were bûllied by the administration (not directly ofc). All that "I'm a carmelite yayayayayaya" nonsense with fade out in an year or two. Not all departments are helpful. Some lecturers are outright pathetic and this is partly due to lack of communication within departments. And freedom of speech and expression? Despite it being 2 years since I graduated, I'm still scared to post a comment under my own name. This college never likes being criticised and doesn't take it lightly. If you're a student who has ideological convictions, who knows what she's doing, who has political inclinations based on proper reasoning and if you know why you support what you support and belong to the "Non left" on the ideological spectrum, think twice before you join. And don't tell me, "you should've complained about all these things". We did, nothing happened. All those "faculty evaluations" are a sham. Good luck. And remember kids, college is not just about associations or fun or fests, it's also about gaining knowledge, education, a stepping stone to molding and/or finessing your socio-economic and political opinions. Join this college if fests and fun are the only things that matter to you (as a Humanities student). As far as I know, Science and Commerce streams are good for academics too. Humanities is rotten. I will not be replying to this comment unless I need to add on or address something else because this college has instilled such fear in me that I thought a thousand times before posting this. Hated my years here, hope you don't. All the best.

@@kavach.khanna01 I stand to gain nothing from badmouthing this college. My only intention behind posting this was to let students know this side of the college. I joined this college because I saw only glittery roses and hell lot of praises. My experience turned out to be bad. Students need to make a conscious decision on the environment that will be most conducive for their growth. And for this, they need all sorts of outputs. And no, I'm not a bot. I've studied here for a considerable amount of time. Anything I've said can even be confirmed and attested by any Humanities student who studied here in 2019. Anyway, best of luck and wishes to any student reading this.
