They probably made the 'rainbow glass rod'. Same technique as Millefiori. i.e. draw out a smaller rod, from a bigger rod made from multiple rods.

Funny to see how little the difference in steps between a intermediate and a highly regarded professional is..its about knowing the physics of glass to the point and approaching every flaw with consistent corrective action.. not ever trying to force anything because that the point when glass breaks and people even hurt themselfs working with it...such meditative thoughful practise... i see my own mistakes in his way of working and also how do to things more consistenly
