False. The reason why everything sounds the same is because people are afraid to trust their personal taste. Musicians learn and play the same chords and motifs they have stored in their muscle memory. What separated the great ones is their taste. Their taste influences how they arrange these building blocks. Tools like this democratize the field by allowing more and more people to participate as the skill gap is lowered, 100%. However in the hands of a talented beat-maker with great taste the result is going to be something amazing, not because of the tools or the process.

For real tho I miss the custom length slide notes in FL Studio, but if we're stuck having to use an instrument for 808's I'd rather go with a synth 808 since they are perfectly tuned.
