is it possible to write automations in the "show" view... A Guitar player (AUX) will change a preset via (Presetchange order ) automation or the reverb turns more and more via automation inside a song playback... is this possible ???

Awesome... finally s1 make that show page.... Btw.. is there a way to set the pacth list change under one song only (diferrent maitai sound on verse and chorus) Can it have marker that can be trigger by mapping midi.. so we can jump to specific area of the song?

I was thinking the exact same thing. Seems s big oversight. Only workaround I'm thinking is to break up the song into a bunch of chunks for every patch change you need. Seems like you should be able to automate patch changes, would be way easier

This is the clearest overview of the Show Page that I've come across so far. Thank You Obedia. Q. Can the Scenes be set to auto-change at a specific time for 'Players' within a song as for Solos for instance ? Or is it one Scene per song ? Or Manual operator change ?

What what I can see in the Manual it looks like One Patch per slot, which I reckon means that 's no Patch changes mid-song.

After a bit of digging I've learned that it's one Scene per Song in the Show Page, at present. There's is talk of adding functionality. Certainly updates of various improvements will soon follow the initial release. Scene Changes COULD be force fudged by splitting a Song so long as a glitch isn't generated at the juctions of the 'Song' parts ... (to be tested) Alternatively the changes would have to be programmed in the song Page before calling that song to the Show Page. More faffing about again. At least I/We know where it stands 'At This Moment'.

Very good video. However, I did not understand the benefit of Show Page. Or with other words: Almost everything can be done with other DAW’s too. It might be slightly different from others, but it is not a real competitor of Mainstage, it hardly beats Ableton (especially in live performances). So where is the USP?

Yes Ableton is better or mainstage or other... but what show page can do I don’t understand much... I still prefer arranger keybord or workstation like Roland Fantom, Korg Kronos, Yamaha montage or a Korg pa4x arranger for the situation. Can show page do all this for a live situation????

Waiting to get Studio One-this was the major selling point for me. But I still don't understand the "How" you are using a mixed down finished song, dragging into Show Page and then playing it "Live". So what are you doing on stage other than being a DJ? How are you singing the song and playing the rhythm and lead? Are you muting out parts that you want to play live from the recorded version? Do you have to bring in your different guitar VST's on every song so that when you play, you have the correct guitar model? I presume you are using your audio interface on stage as well? No need to purchase a Marshall 50 watt then , correct? A computer (massive laptop), audio interface, a PA, and a guitar? Can't be that easy could it?

The fundamental problem with the patch changes on this is that if you are holding down a note or using sustain you will get stuck notes

Can te patches be changed via midi? I'm a keyboard player and I use MainStage where I can, with the press of a button, change instrument patches within the same song. Can this be made in Studio One? I'm switching from cubase and would like to integrate my live and studio rigs with studio one.

I run too many Daws but for live use I personally prefer Ableton I just know and have seen Ableton used so successfully and seamlessly, btw just upgraded to 5.3

Every video I watch on this once it gets to parameter changes every one rushes through it. Hardly any explanation. I guess maybe another video. What I a, trying to find out. Can you set up markers in each one of your songs say verse pre chorus and chorus and control those parts with a midi controller like you can in ableton. This way you can start stop a song super fast or just go into another song or skip a song. I can’t seem to find anything on this.

I watched this and other videso related to show page and i'm very interested ... i purchased Studio One Professional 2-3 years ago (now i have 4.6 version) and i like it, its audio engine is very very good. I'd like to completely substitute Ableton Live with S1 even for live purposes; is it possible to "map" MIDI notes (or whatever else) to recall different Items of the setlist ? BTW, i would probably put different parts of every song (intro, verses, chorus, "special", final, etc ...) into the list itself and not the entire song, in order to recall those parts, execute them in loop mode, etc ... is it possible to work in that way with show page ? If so, then i will seriously consider the idea to upgrade my version of S1 and to build my brand new shows with it !

As cools as this is... I wonder why Presonus would release this without the possibility of changing patches for different parts of the song. If this were possible, I'd try it. Knowing it can't be done makes it a no go for me. Hopefully this will be implemented soon.

I'm doing a Songwriter Showcase the end of this month. I will do 6 of my own songs, already recorded and released. All I want to do is put them in the Show Page from my Song pages, without my lead vocal and my main Acoustic Guitar, which I'll do those Live. Is it best to just Mute those 2 tracks, and then put them into the Show Page as a WAV file? OR can I also create that song into an MP3 and use that in the Show Page? Any advantage to doing either one? I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible. They will have an Audio guy there, who I also happen to know well, to also try to synch up with him on doing this. I’m very interested in using this for a live duo. How would I change from a rhythm guitar sound in a virtual amp like ampire, for the verse and chorus, to a lead guitar sound just for the solo, then back to my rhythm sound, all within the one song? Can you have a tempo track playing, but only going to an in ear monitor out, and not the FOH? Can you line up a midi track, to for instance change a lighting scene, or a preset via midi on a guitar effects processor like a line 6 helix, or to a lighting mixer for changing lighting scenes? Can you have a wet delay track, that only comes in on the live lead vocal for certain moments or words in a song? These are things I would need for live use.

I agree, all of the features they included are a good start, but without being able to automate MIDI parameters or change patches within a song, the show page is practically useless for me. According to the manual, it's not possible. :(

This great! The video is also great! However, I have questions. 1. Does it crossfades in between songs? 2. If I don't want to continue the current song and I want to jump right to the next song, is this possible? And also again does it crossfades? 3. Can we put markers on the timeline of each songs and jump on different part of the song? Because I play in the church and we play backing tracks. And sometimes the singer will go spontaneous and impronto the singer will command or give as a sign to go back to bridge and then chorus and then go back to bridge again. That's why this is important to me. 4. Is it possible to set multiple patches between songs. This related to virtual key instruments and related also to the question number 3. Because when we change to different part of the song, keyboard patches should also change.. 5. Is it possible to record my keys sound and patch changes while playing? I am asking these because I'm planning to switch to studio one 5 from Ableton. And Ableton is the right DAW for this tasks I'm asking. If these is not possible at the moment then, it's not time yet to switch DAW. The only thing I want to change is because my church is using studio one artist for music production. And our recording in the church needs to be mixed. And I am also one of the people who mixed our recordings. And we can't do collaboration because I'm using ableton. Anyway thank you for the vids.

Like others have mentioned, and if I'm understanding the video correctly, not being able to have multiple Patches in the same song is a huge oversight and a deal-breaker for me. I want to automate different sounds in Ampire (for example) for verse, chorus and lead solo sections of a song. I'm sure keyboard players would want something similar. How did Presonus overlook this? I'm also wondering, if you have say 30 songs in a playlist with 30 different backing tracks, appropriate patches and so on, how these are handles by your PC? Do you need massive amounts of RAM? Does the Show Page buffer a few songs ahead...?

Yea but compared to ableton it’s not all that good. The main thing here is there is no functionality for controlling parts of the song via midi like how you can in ableton. Using a foot pedal to control verse bridge ect. Is huge and it’s missing here especially live. So many times when you want to repeat the chorus or go back to a part and loop it and you can’t. I don’t get this. It’s really cool you can control instruments but no song control. I hope they add this. Then the perform page looks bare.

PLease enlighten me , but what's the big difference with the regular song page and porgram changes ( for instruments ) ? True for audio , the mixer state recall is something new , other then that it's kinda a letdown can the instruments be controlled by an external hardware sequencer ( show page mode ) ?

The show page is a more simplified way to approach playback in a live setting, and yes, you can use a MIDI controller to control synths/mixer settings/etc.
