@@Yhuntermusic I had a question for you your like a logic god, I seen you say you prefer ableton. Is this just because use a lot of push devices in your video’s a lot ? I love logic an know how to use it much better but I keep trying to warm up to Ableton 12 some things just seem corky to me about it. I do think latency is better in 12 when tracking and for seem reason my tracks seem to sound better in Ableton 12 also I don’t know why lol

switching from ableton that was the first thing I notice making beats, not being able to drop a sample into the timeline and it create a track and sampler. It's a little thing that increases your workflow and keeps the creativity moving.

It looks so much cleaner with the round edges and how the wave forms are colored and collapse to a single wave form when the tracks are smaller. I’m very excited about the scale mode in the piano roll as well.

each sample which is in each pad at Impact has a different Amp knob (volume).

Just know that you can trigger 2 pads or 3 pads when you hit just one pad. when you open impact , at the right upper corner is the presonus logo . under the Presonus logo is the " 1st C#1 " note and "2nd -" if at "2nd put a note that it triggers another pad for example "2nd C2". In this case when you hit this pad , the pad will trigger another pad also that is assigned to note C2.

Just upgraded yesterday, great DAW features. Love the new stem separation and splice integration, amongst other things. At the end of the day it's all about getting what works for you and your work flow. Where I'm at in life right now being a business owner and always busy, Studio One 7 is a powerful DAW that makes my creation process simple

You can select Follow tempo on impact to strech the chopped sample but you have to do it after for each bank, (select all your pad with shift)

The drag and hold shift feature was already in Impact. They updated absolutely nothing with the samplers.

Does the stem separation feature work on Intel Macs? In Logic Pro it only works with M-series Macs. Nonetheless, the Logic Pro workflow seems better to me.

Turn Release up unless you are manually editing the length of the notes. Click Mono as well. This stops the note from bleeding into the next

What if I have acc gtrs, ele gtrs, dobros, fiddles, banjos and mandolins and I want all to be on separate individual tracks. Can this stem separator accomplish this or would all these instrument just go into the "Other" track? Found the answer they just go in the "Other" track and the examples I heard were not impressive.

To be honest, I think this is more of a plus! Since the updates are going to be dripped around 4 times a year, you can choose whether those updates are worth you paying for. Idk, it gives you more flexibility and constant support for even unupdated products. Just have to give it time for the benefits to all start clicking

The new features look cool and all but I find myself a bit conflicted with the AI tools. For me working with and around the artifacts is part of the fun of sampling so I’m not sure I’d use stem separation. Also I don’t think I want an AI choosing my sounds for me. That takes away one of the things that makes my beats unique. Maybe I’m just an old head stuck in their ways🤷🏿♂️
