The “suspenders” were a fun addition. The designers could’ve gone just one step farther and painted the buttons on the robot mode’s seatbelt buckles red.

You're not doing anything wrong with the arms, but you are doing a lot better than other reviewers, one had to flex the plastic past the wheel and door from one mode to another. You did surprisingly well, by comparison, nothing came apart.

Most definitely. I found that it works best for me to line the arms up so they're cradled by the wheel wells first, then tip the shoulders in from that point while holding the arm inside that cut-out.

To be fair, some of the places Emgo's been complaining about paint on (such as the biceps on this figure) can't be painted due to them being cast in "unpaintable plastic", which has to be used just due to it being a softer plastic that can take on the stresses of articulation and transformation, with the subtle flexibility it can provide, whereas the other plastics are more likely to crack and snap put under those conditions. About the best they could do would be to cast those parts in a different colour, but that would probably screw up the colour palette of the vehicle mode, depending on what parts are made of which plastic, so it would be a lose/lose situation either way. (For those who don't know, "unpaintable" only refers to factory-applied paint. If you're into customizing toys, you can probably paint these parts with no issue. It's just the industrial toy paint mixtures that are made for longevity that can't stick to that form of plastic).

I think the makers of the studio series will work on dreadbot with the same mold as this. All they have to do is give it a paint job, swap the head with one of the Dreads, and change the chest for robot mode

Before watching very far into the video, I'm gonna take a shot in the dark on guessing what you're complaining about. I mean this is total guess work. I certainly won't reference the fact that I've seen so many of your studio series vids, so just maybe i might be completely wrong here. However i thing there is a reasonably high probability that you just might wish little geeky Jack had a bit more paint.

One Transformers you should try to get a hold of is KIBVE Deformation Toy NBK Gatling Oversized Action Figure Deformed Robot Model Original Gift for Adults Kids It's their second original figure that actually transforms into a actual working gun yeah it only shoots little plastic darts but that still pretty cool where as their first figure transformed into a sniper rifle that could really shoot.

I doubt it's confirmed but I believe there are two reasons that they put the alt mode on the front of the box. #1: While many of us, myself included, have warmed on the design, for many this was a controversial redesign, as can be seen by some of the comments below, so for those fans, it would not exactly be a draw, #2: The classic VW Van on the other hand has always been a popular vehicle, with many toys being made of it (albiet more in the microbus configuration) so sticking it on the front of the box is likely to draw in it's fans. It would not entirely surprise me if Hasbro found an excuse to retool this into the microbus configuration and re-release it at some point, with one of the iconic colours said toys tend to get, maybe even multiple releases with different paintjobs.

The major misstep with this version of the character was its head design. Steve Urkel as a robot really just doesn't work, and is kind of a dated reference, if appropriate for the time period.
