Ouch.. watch those knives. I do the same thing way too often. Knives and hot glue guns are my nemesis. I hope you had a great break in the mountains. Congratulation to your art awards. So very cool and encouraging, a wonderful boost for you, something every artist needs. Todays video popped up at the perfect time for my lazy ,late Saturday morning coffee. This was so fun to watch. Love how you prepare the spine on these board books and I like that you tidy the edges etc. Even your random pages are mini art pieces, Your style ,maybe its the colors is undeniably already there. The day I will take a break from assemblage work, this will be on my list. LOL Have a lovely weekend Denise.

Happy Sunday Ina! I’m with you on the glue gun too…so many times I loose track of what I’m doing and grab the wrong end of the gun! The mountain get away was great, but way too short! It gave me plenty of time to play in these books on the huge wrap around deck in the pines…I loved it! I know you love a mountain get away too, little surfaces like these are perfect to play with. Our next trip…Scotland, UK and Portugal…gearing up for that one in a few months. Thanks for the mention of the awards…they were a real surprise…a very happy one. Congrats on the awards!! Thanks for the cold wax tip - I've always been frustrated with the papers between the pages, so I will go through all of mine and wax them up! :)

"You don't have to be precise..." as she carefully eases the paper to the exact edge.......Yes. We artists are inconsistent and make no excuses for it.

Sometimes...if it lines up...make it easy...otherwise, I love to trim the rough edges with my very sharp exacto knife! That's the beauty of mixed media...you get to mix up papers, paint, scratches, marks, techniques...that's what keeps it interesting. I'm so glad you agree!👍🏻

When you're sitting in your studio talking to the camera, I can barely hear you. Haven't really had this problem before. The sound is much better when you are at your table showing the board books. My volume is all the way up. Not having this problem elsewhere.

Thank you…good to know Patty! It sounds okay on the editing side though I’ll pump up the volume next time around. I use my iPhone camera & audio to film as the extra microphone always seems to get in my way! Thanks for the heads up!
